K9NUD - Wow, I missed a few months. It was nice to get an hour in tonight and work a lot of familiar calls, along with a few new ones. Thanks for all the great contacts! 72
WD4OHD - Short session for me tonight. Good propagation on 40m but noisy and with lots of QRM during the first hour when I was on. Five QSOs in five states. Thanks to all.
WG8Y - Hi all, Started out on my K2 in the shack. Made 3 Q's then my dog wanted out.On the way back in I came thru the garage, looked over, and said why not. I sat down at my garage work bench where I had the K1 set up and worked 9 more contacts from there. I wrote them into the log when I came back in. Fun stuff! 72 all from N.C. Mark WG8Y
K3RLL - What a fun evening: 20m was hot at the opening gate with some pretty good signals but somebody tripped over the power cable and 20m went out after 30 minutes. (It wasn't me!)
Went down to 40m and it was pretty good. Signals were weaker but lots of activity.
Got N3A/8 but QRO station landed right on top of him and I missed his #. ;-(
Thanks for the nice contacts. 72, ... Don
W4CMG - Fun event - if only I could remember my REAL Callsign. I had just finished a run as N3A/4 a while before, and caught myself sending it purely by muscle memory a few times :)
N8HWV - Good to be back, folks. Thanks for the QSO's.
K1IX - Pretty gud condx and activity, tnx for the Q's 73
W1BLU - Contacted K4JPN on 80. Good signal. Called CQ on 80 for the rest of the sprint-no takers. Answered a few on 80 with no response. I know, I could've switched back to 40 but I really wanted some 80M QSOs! Good fun. 72 all.
K4KRW - Thanks everyone!
VA3KRJ - Great fun tonight, especially the first 30 minutes with a few pile ups! Thanks to all. 72.
K9QEW - QSOs on 20 & 40 meters. 40m Band in poor shape very high
noise level. QRT after 1-1/2 hours. Hope to do better in
November. 72/73s & STAY TUNED Daryl
NF8M - Op time about 55 min. Noisy/weak sigs but managed to work a couple of the anniversary stations. Gl es 72
WD4CFN - That was fun! Thanks for the Q's. I was running a Dave Benson 40M SW+ at 2W that I built years ago.
AI5BE - The bands were great tonight for the most part. I had a blast. Key tonight was a bunnell straight key.
KE9DR - Used a QMX Plus tonight at 5 watts and new loop antenna. Had lots of fun.
20 and 40 only bands for me tonight, some QSB. Thanks to all. 72, Bert
KC5F - 3 nice quiet bands and lots of fun. 2 non-members, each running 500w! But several members sounding nearly as good. Thanks, all, once again! 73, Steve
KN1H - Had to miss the first hour due to family commitment, but glad I didn't miss the fun Anniversary Sprint. Happy Anniversary, NAQCC, looking forward to many more. 72, John, KN1H
K3IY - Great sprint tonight using the Yaesu FTDX-10, longwire @ 30ft, and a Navy flameproof key. Started out on 40m and stayed there most of the contest. Great to work Fred in Germany! About 1.5 hrs in traffic died down and S&P led me to believe I worked most all. Tried 80m and made a few more Q's. A few of us on the low band tonight! Finished the final minutes of the contest on 40m.
N9JFZ - Bands seemed to be in good shape this evening. Good time as always
72. Rusty
KN2G - 20 gave me a good start, 40 was ol' reliable and 80 gave me a bang up finish, I had my first ever run as the sprint concluded. Hopefully I got everybody right! Nice to catch SD on two bands.
K3JZD - My last four on 80m, the rest were on 40m. Both bands were pretty quiet here. Most signals were pretty strong. Almost no QSB. Was a pleasant evening. K4 at 5 watts with a 40m dipole and a 107' EFRW. 72, Jody - K3JZD
W4NLT - Always fun to work the QRP faithful. Some action on 20 and 80 but most QSOs on 40. TNX for the QSOs 72 Andy
N4MJ - Glad to hear/work some new ones.
N3A/8 - K8NGW was your N3A/8 station tonight. Other than a short period of QSB on 40, (and some QRM,) the bands seemed to be in pretty good shape. I was working with a new straight key and twice during the sprint, the gap adjustment screw came loose. A pair of pliers finally fixed that! A review of the key (which I still like) will be submitted to the newsletter.
WX4RM - Conditions were good tonight and was able to use all 3 bands to make contacts. Had fun as always, Ron WX4RM.
KD7DUG - 20M was great tonight. Using the QMX with a McElroy "MAC" bug and Signal Electric R-62. West coast was slow. W1JT in MA lost my TX , no copy from QRM. Glad to work N3A/0.
KE5YUM - My first sprint since May due to health reasons. Between surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy it seemed that I was either away from the radio or didn't feel well. Nice band conditions on 20 made the sprint enjoyable for the time I could spend. 73, Terry FT 710, 5 watts, CWMORSE straight key
W8GG - Hello fellow sprinters! Nice to hear all of the Lil' pistols out fer the anniversary sprint. 1st sprint from new QTH in Michigan. Just got my Phoenix vertical up and running. I mounted the base section on an old sawhorse, spread the radials out in the garden, and ran the coax under the back door temporary. Bands in gud shape fer sprint. 20 was open at start and i was happy to run into old timers K3RLL, Don and KE5YUM , Terry to start my nite. 40 was busy with peepers es packed with callers, Many signals down in the mud, but some true 599ers. went to 80 a couple times but no one heard me there. So 40 was the band fer most of the action. Skip seemed short tonight wid nothing heard from the west coast. Nabbed 3 of the N3A/ stations, 0,3, es 4, but did not hear any of the others?? Always fun to play radio wid the NAQCC sprints, We have some really great operators in our midst. Tns to all for participation. 73 till next month. Gregg W8GG
N3A/3 - KX3 @5W into 288' loop up 35' on average. All bands were very quiet - good conditions. I got into the rhythm with N3A/3 but lapsed into KC3MIO a couple of times. Some longer contacts on 20 but heard little after 0100. As usual, 40 was the meat and potatoes band until it seemed to run out of juice around 0200. 80 was surprisingly quiet and productive until the end. A nice sprint and hope to put N3A/3 out a bit before the end of the anniversary. Tnx to all my contacts, Rich KC3MIO, 73/72
N2TNN - Good results and great participation
K4BAI - 20M sounded good, but got no answers to CQs and only two QSOs. 40M was by far the best band, with good signals up to VE3 and New England and out to TX,NE,MN. Nothing west of that heard. Spent the last 14 minutes on 80M calling stations I could hear, but who didn't hear me calling and got no answers to CQs, so no 80M QSOs this month. Thanks for all QSOs, especially the N3A/? stns. 73/72, John, K4BAI.
KA2KGP - 20m. was nil, but 40 & 80 were gud here in WNY. Rig: IC-7000 at 5w. into G5RV up 20 ft. w/ straight key. Tnx to all who called. 73
KD3CA - Band Very QRN and QSB here with some great signal's Sri I had to ask for repeat call's at time's Many tnx to all for the call's 73's Don
WB0CJB - 40M was pretty good but missed a QSO with KB2GKC. I could only copy the suffix GKC. There were a couple more that were right at my noise level and I couldn't pull out of the hiss. Thanks for a great sprint! 72/73 Paul WB0CJB
K4JPN - 20M seemed to go out early, worked some on 40M and also 80M. Good time on Sprint. 72 Steve K4JPN
KQ1P - Happy Anniversary NAQCC. Almost too much fun on the air! 73
AA0W - 40 Meters was the only band tonight. Thanks to all for the sprint exchanges.
KF7Z - didn't have a lot of time last night but was able to jump on for 30 minutes, 20 meters was good in both directions, heard 4 of the N3A stations so I scooped them up. Elecraft K3s turned down to 5 watts to a dipole up 25 ft. thanks for the fun sprint. 73 from WY
Danny
W2SH - 20M was open for the first half hour, but not for distances greater than 1,000 miles. 40m was moderately active. 80M was noise free, signals were strong, and though lightly populated it was the pleasantest band for operating.
KB2GKC - A good time. Thanks everyone. 40m did well. K9NUD, VA3KRJ, AB9CA, N2TNN, WB9HFK, N3A/3, W4CMG, and N3A/4.
WA1GWH - 40m propagation was quite good! Was only on for about a half hour and worked 9 SPCs, ranging out to LA and SD from here in central New York state. Thanks for the contacts!
K1WOR - Was visiting relatives in northeast Vermont, and suddenly realized it was sprint time. So put up a portable inverted Vee only 10' high, and was pleased that it got out at all, with generally 559 reports. Nice quiet reception in the hills of VT!
WA2FBN - Only able to operate last half hour of sprint. Condx pretty good on 40m. Used my KN4YB right angle bug; tnx to those who copied my rusty fist! 72 Ken
VE3IIM - ..40 in good shape here..worked a few new ones..
N3A/5 - I was glad to hear a good turnout for the anniversary sprint this year. After the first hour I had an old guy sinking spell and decided to hit the big switch!
