AB9BZ - Tried the new zBitx this sprint, was glad to work the ham in PA who made the excellent patch that makes this rig usable on CW with a paddle or key @ 20WPM or greater. Thanks for posting it on groups.io!! Thanks for the sprint 72 ab9bz
NO2D - Started early in the sprint. Nothing on 80, 40 not strong enough to be heard. Made 5 on 20 meters. Strong QSB all around. I surrendered to save my ears after 5 contacts. Nevertheless, lots of fun. Thanks to those who make the sprints possible.
Pete, NO2D
N8HWV - Just too noisy to continue. glad to snag a couple.
AA2VG - I ran my Appalachian Trail Sprint 3B (ATS3B). Could only stay for a while. Tnx for the contacts and fun.
KE3V - Had fun with the ol' HW-8 tonight. 20m was fairly quiet while 40 seemed very crowded with some static crashes. 80m was just noise here.
K4WY - 1 Watt was not my intended output power but I forgot to charge the nicads before heading out. 72 K4WY
KE9DR - ruff nite but fun, thanks to all.
Used a newly built QMX plus tonite, it did ok.
Lots of QRN on 20 and 40, heard nil on 80.
72 Bert, KE9DR
DK1VD - was fun again tnx to all in the log
KN2G - Another fun night. 20 held up very well here in the Northeast. 40 was the workhorse and 80 yielded one lonely contact. See you in September!
WD4OHD - I could only put in about 30 minutes, but there were a lot of strong signals on 40m and the noise level was reasonable. Thanks to all who turned out tonight.
VE3DQN - Strong signals tonight, got most of my Qs on 20m, lots of fun as usual.
NA4O - Tough one for me tonight on 40M. It picked up a bit towards the end. BUT another successful NAQCC Sprint for me, thanks to those who could pull me through. KX3@5W, Vibroplex straight key.
KC3RN - 40M was really noisy here tonight, but still managed to do okay. Thanks to everyone who answered my CQ.
KN1H - Missed the first hour due to family commitment. Found 40 and 80 both fairly noise-free and had a fun second hour. 72, John, KN1H IC-7300, Nye Viking Master Key.
KC5F - Not much activity on 20, but I stayed longer than usual with coast-to-coast and Germany. 40m was good, too, but activity still seemed down. 80m was noisy, but good for 5 more at the end. Thanks, all - Lots of fun, as always!
K3RLL - 20m: Heard participants but couldn't buy a contact. Went to...
40m: Didn't hear as many but made all my contacts there with some really strong signals tonight. This was fun! Nice to hear from KB1M, K3JZD & KC3RN in particular. Love this hobby!
72, ... Don
K3JZD - Was a wild ride on 40m. My noise level kept rapidly jumping from S3 to S7. Would take out parts of characters for any signal below S7 and even disrupted some signals stronger than S7 if they faded just a little bit. Kept my receive filter tight and had to chase those who called me off frequency. Made it a real challenge. But was still enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who had to give me repeats. Flex 6600 running 5 watts to 40m Dipole. 72, Jody - K3JZD
K3IY - First sprint using the straight key and my wrist is feeling it! Started out on 20 and didn't stay long after sundown. Spent most of the night on 40 until the static got unbearable and tried 80. May a few Q's on 80 and it was pretty lonely down there. Finished the night S&P'ing on 40m. Great to contact Fred in Germany!
N4MJ - Must be summer doldrums. Not a lot of participation. Calling CQ NA and getting a response was like pulling hen's teeth. LOL or HI HI.
Thanks to all participants.
73 de n4mj//glenn
W4NLT - 40M Was the place to be. QRN started building so was hard for the one good ear to hear stuff. Good to work the QRP faithful.
72 Thanks for the QSOs.
N7QR - 93rd Sprint, KX3 BY1 into a K1EL keyer in bug mode for first hour.
Hello, is this on?? 80 and 40 dead. 20 nothing strong enough to
work. Skunked! We'll it try again next month. Russ Portland OR
W4CMG - Better than expected conditions tonight!
WX4RM - Hi noise level here tonight, making it difficult to hear signals competing with the S8 QRN level. Had fun as always!
N9JFZ - Slow start, but did better a bit later. Was happy to be heard on 40 meters in OR and WA with my 5 watts.
72 all, Rusty
K2OID - Tough night in Western NY on 40. Signals were good and QRN wasn't bad, but I just wasn't getting out well as usually. Still fun, just more challenging.
W9DWR - Lots of activity gave me my personal best. 40 meters did well for me tonight. Thanks to all the contacts. I had one duplicate I had to adjust out due to keying the call sign in wrong. Oops!
W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Gud night fer a sprint. I fired up the FT 857 on battery power last night. 20m was open nicely at the start here in mid-Michigan. Seemed to hv a beeline to the south es east. Nothing heard from out west??? Went to 40m at 9pm local. Worked a few on 40 but vy noisy. I got interrupted on last QSO wid minor XYL problem. When i came back i couldn't read the call right in my notes. SRI to AA4VG?? AC1FT??? OOOPPPS !
So pulled the plug early after a long day. Gud to work some old friends tonight. This may be the last sprint from this QTH. XYL es I are moving to new home on the west side of Michigan. I sure am gg to miss my tried n true antenna farm of 42 yrs. Hoping to put up a nice new skyhook at new QTH. Always fun planning and erecting a new aerial. 73 fer nw, Gregg W8GG
WA1GWH - 40m was not too noisy for a summer night with a cold front approaching. QSB not too bad. The skip was shorter than past months at my QTH near Syracuse, NY. TU FER QSOs, 72!
KM4AK - Only one station heard me--Thanks, Bob, K2OID, for answering my call!
WG8Y - Hi all, Conditions were not very good here. Didn't work my 1st Q
till 0053Z but the band did improve some after that. Had some QRN but bands were just noisy here. Maybe I should have switched to a Horizontal antenna. Oh well. It's all gud.
Main thing, Had fun playing radio.
72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y
WB8ENE - I wanted to make at lease one contact on each of the three bands, but 80 meters didn't want to cooperate. I shut down at 0123Z to try to see some meteors, so 80 meters may have worked later. Actually, I thought my best chance for a 20 meter contact was at 0030Z, but it didn't come until 0109Z. As usual, 40 meters was the most active band. Thanks for the contacts. 73, Art
KA2KGP - 40m. was the best band this NA. Only 1 QSO on 20m. & 2 on 80m. near the end. Rig: IC-7000 at 5w. into G5RV up 20 ft. w/ straight key. Keep cool out there ! 73
W4QDV - Got started late. Began on 20m but it was pretty bad here. Lots of static crashes due to local lightning. Moved to 40m and the noise level was pretty high--made a normal 559 read 599 sometimes. Was fortunate to find great ops Paul WB0CJB, Joe K3JZD, Cathy W4CMG and Rusty N9JFZ. Thanks for the QSOs, friends!
72 and "dit dit" from Dave W4QDV
W1TM - Had a busy night, but was able to catch a few contacts on 20 at the beginning before moving on to more pressing business.
KQ1P - High QRN HR tonight but managed to complete a QSO.
WA2FBN - Ran a Xiegu X5105 @5w into EFHW sloper at 25ft. and used a Vibroplex Vibrokeyer. Only had time for half hour on 20m. 72 Ken WA2FBN
AA0W - Good conditions this evening. Thanks to all for the contacts.
Was able to work 3 bands in the sprint.
W2SH - My 20m skip zone didn't exceed 800 miles. 40m was active but I had a high noise level. I didn't listen
on 80m.
NA1L - My 5 watts seemed to be doing well at first as I called CQ NA on 7.039 MHz but then I started hunting. Bleh! No one heard me. I may need to make some antenna adjustments for the next one. 72 everyone!
KC3MIO - KX3 @ 5 watts into 288' loop up 30'. I was feeling tired and uninspired but decided to give it a go. Got a few on 20 including KC7DM in OR and got the spirit. Went to 40 which was the best band, but returned to 20 for a contact with AA0W in NE. Tried 80 a few times and it seemed promising, but I heard no one and no one heard me. Things seem to peter out toward the top of the hour and retired at 0200 after having a better time than I expected. TNX to my contacts, 73/72 Rich.
KA5HZV - K2... Always fun to work qrp cw
N5GW - Bands in fair shape for this time of year, and hopefully they will start to quieten down a bit next month.
N3CAA - 40 was rough with very high noise floor and static crashes. Nevertheless, it was a great evening operating from the backyard. TNX fer the QSOs! 72, Corey
