N1BRI - thanks for the q's. Mostly 40m as usual. I was calling on 80m for a bit and reverse beacon seemed to indicate good condx... but crickets. good time tonight but feeling a little tired so I'm calling it early. 72
K3RLL - Interesting evening. Started out on 20m but lost 2 or 3 to QRM. Went to 40m but it was high noise and lost KC5F and another. Went back to 20 and things went far better. Booming signal out of the Empire State was NQ2W and he could hear me too! Went back to 40m again and couldn't hear anyone.
Best RBN, by far, was from Slovenia tonight. I guess skip was long? 72 and thank you, ... Don
WB9G - It's been a long time since I worked this sprint. Great fun and great ops! Thanks for all the QSOs.
72, Chris WB9G #6311
W1TM - My Drake is on the bench so borrowed my friends Oak HIlls Classic. Nice little rig. Was able to make similar results with the old QRP kit rig.
KE3V - It was a nice night for radio.
N0TA - 20m was in really good shape for the start. 40m was OK - nothing great. K3, doublet and vertical, Amplidan key.
K9EYT - This is sprint # 100 for me . Winter QTH Tarpon Springs FL, Rig Icom 706 5 watts to an end feed 40 foot wire at 15Ft very stealth for the HOA. Thanks for QSO . 72 Ray
NQ2W - Got started a little late and ended a little early. 20, 40, and 80 all seemed to be pretty good with mostly strong signals. Lots of fun! Thanks for the QSOs and the opportunity to participate. I hope you hear me in the next one! 72, WIll, NQ2W
NF8M - Op time 1 hour. 40 in FB shape. Tnx QSOs es 72
N4MJ - Split activities night - NAQCC Sprint & Fox Hunt, all on 40 meter. hi hi Got both Foxii and fair on the NA group. Didn't seem to be as many NA stations tonight. ??? Fun anyway.
Thanks to ALL participants
73 de n4mj
K3WWP - Home late from club meeting, but took time to get my one QSO in the sprint.
WD4OHD - Got a late start this evening but still managed to make a few good QSOs on 40m. Still using a substandard antenna, so my apologies to those of you struggling to hear my signal. I hope to have a proper 40m dipole installed by this time next month. Best to all.
K4KBL - Great time tonight...sorry I could not dig out that last caller. Lets give it another shot next time for sure.
K9QEW - Tried 20 meters low activity and 40 meters seemed to give out
after first hour. Band condx fair still had fun.
72/73s & STAY TUNED Daryl
KC5F - I hated to miss the Sprint last month, so I had to get this one first on my calendar. Nice quiet conditions on 20, 40 and 80, but there didn't seem to be as much activity. Lots of fun working everybody, as awlays! 73 and thanks, Steve
DK1VD - Better than January 24 woke up early not at the end :-)) And a fun to work 3 stn booooming was AC1KV thanks to all 3 for a contact
K9NUD - Thanks for all the great contacts on 20, 40, and 80! More repeat calls than most nights. The bands were pretty good tonight. I know I missed one or two - sorry I could not pull you out. Great to see all the familiar calls, along with a few new ones. Welcome AF4PX! :-)
K6GPB - Only got to work last 1/2 hour of Sprint. Look forward to more time next month. 72 de K6GPB
K7EK - This sprint collided head on with the QRP Foxhunt which which runs split. Caused a lot of confusion as their pileup of baying hounds was right in the middle of our published working segment.
KN2G - I tried calling for short stretches tonight. Usually I just hunt and pounce. Got a new personal best at 29 contacts. I expect that since the bands were so open that there will be some big scores tonight. HOWEVER, it is always fun to grab a teeny weeny signal and make a contact while surfing through the ether. Some good fists and some great ears out there! 72 ken
VE3IIM - Enjoyable as usual!
K3JZD - 40m was pretty busy here in WPA this evening. Low noise level and strong signals. Spent few minutes on 80m near the end. 80m was noisy. Nice to work everybody. K4 - 5w - 40m Dipole - 80m EFRW.
72, Jody - K3JZD
WB1GYZ - Good turnout tonight with some strong sigs.
NR1D - Fun time, while the snow melts. 20 meter was nice and long for a change.
VE3DQN - Unusually good conditions in eastern Ontario tonight. Folks gave me such good signal reports that I was afraid I was running higher power. I checked; I wasn't.
W2QL - Unfortunately got a phone call so couldn't play as much as I hoped.
AA2VG - Had fun running my KD1JV tribander and the KX3.
AF4PX - Thank you to all! only 1 station I couldn't hear well enough to work
WG8Y - Hi all, Started on 20m.Band was quite here in NC. Worked 5 Q's and it shut done. Went to 40m and found everyone. Man it was wall to wall signals. Had to really work to squeeze some of the calls out form between everyone. Went to 80m for the last 25 minutes and worked several double. Finally had a Sprint without much QRN. Had fun! Hope everyone did too.
72 From N.C. Mark WG8Y
KQ3Z - Got on late. 40 meters was really active at my QTH
K2OID - Brought my 40M QRP XCVR with me on vacation in GA, strung up a dipole in the trees and Wow what fun! Conditions were really good tonight. TNX to everyone, but especially to WD4OHD for hanging in there to complete our QSO. C U next month from my home QTH.
W4JL - First NAQCC Sprint and it was enjoyable! Straight Key (HAM KEY) 5w into my homebrew EFHW's up about 35 feet across my backyard, start about 6 feet, rig was FT-891, Hope to catch you all again 72 W4JL Dave NC @10660
W4NLT - Another fun night with lots of folks out there. Not much action on 20M but 40M was hot. TNX for the QSOs. 72 Andy
K1IX - Great condx best I have seen in a long time on 40cw along with great participation. tnx for all the Q's
73 Frank
WX4RM - Conditions were good tonight with qso to the west with California NR5NN and to the east with Germany DK1VD. This was a very happy surprise for me, I think I will go out and hug my little vertical antenna, :) Thanks to all for hearing my little peanut whistle signal. Ron WX4RM
KE5YUM - Outstanding conditions on 20 for the time I was able to spend on the sprint. Worked three quickly from the east coast. 73 until next month. Terry. FT 817 with CWMORSE Straight key.
KC3RN - I had other commitments tonight, so I only had a few minutes to operate. Still managed to squeak out a few contacts.
W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Good condx fer sprint last night. 20 was open but no west coast stns heard. Good signals on 40, but lots of noise. Heard a couple on 80 but they didn't hear me. pulled plug after an hour. 73 till next month. Gregg W8GG
N2TNN - Very nice night with so many stations on the air. Thank you for all the contacts. 73, Dean
WB9HFK - Part time on 40M this evening. Also, took part in the QRP Fox 40M Hunt. Thanks for the QSO's! 72, Mark WB9HFK
K4BAI - Took out a little time to work the two QRP foxes, W4CMG and WB7S. Thanks for all QSOs. 73, John, K4BAI
KA2KGP - A good turnout this NA sprint. 20m. was nil but 40 & 80 were good here in WNY. Rig: IC-7000 at 5 w. into a G5RV up 25 ft. w/ old WWII German Junkers straight key. 73
KC3MIO - KX3 @ 5W into 125' doublet up 45'. I had shoulder replacement surgery on my right (dominant) arm on January 30th and assumed that I would miss the sprint since my arm would be in a sling for four weeks. But I did try to make some QSOs and succeeded. I did better with my Bencher BY1 so I tried that for the sprint. Cndx were favorable, especially on 40. I had a run of 17 QSOs on 7.0425 from 0159 to 0237 which tired my right arm. Apparently my brain was sending signals to both arms and the right was still twitching. I had to take a break to ice the shoulder. I came back after 0300 and heard WB9HFK loud and clear where I left off. Three more on 40 and six on 80, which was also in good shape from NE PA. Tnx to all and Happy Valentine's Day.
NO2D - Managed to make one NAQCC contact before switching to chasing foxes
on the Tuesday evening Fox Hunt. Just not skilled enough to work
both events simultaneously. Pete, NO2D.
K3EMS - 80 and 40 meters both seemed to be in good shape this evening.
KK4ITX - Typical noise here in WCF, 5w FT450D. Used NAQCC Logger for the first time, it does save time and eliminate re-typing errors and hen scratching reading. Looks like a good turnout tonight. See you next month.
WT4U - Decent conditions and was surprised not to make more contacts on 20m. Worked several of my favorite NAQCC admins, and spent too long unsuccessfully camped out trying to catch Don VE3DQN. Altogether, a fun evening.
KB1M - For extra fun ran QRPp at 900mW, felt that I had a very good evening, toped off with 2 CO stations on 20 and GA once on both 20 and 40, also a 2fer with k9nud. Many thanks for the Q's and extra effort to pull me out of the QRN. 72, Walt
KA5HZV - Haven't done the NAQRP in a while. Was geat fun although I couldn't work it long. Next Month... Ron
KD0V - Thanks everyone for the contacts, 20M was really hopping in here, but I was exhausted.
K8BYP - WOW ! 17 x MY FIRST SCORE (WHICH WAS "ONE")
nEED bETTER BANDS !!
GOOD THING WE DONT HAVE TO HANDLE TRAFFIC ON THESE CONDX..
5w YAESU 857
WA2FBN - Bands very noisy. Used my KN4YB DL150 right angle bug. Tnx to all who copied me. 72 Ken
KQ1P - Got a late start and had a fine time.
WS9J - just jumped on for the final minutes of the sprint and heard plenty of activity!
W2SH - This was another occasion when I concurrently participated in the 40m Fox Hunt along with the NAQCC sprint. I failed to earn a vulpine pelt of the two on offer. 20m was open for the first half hour. 40m was confusingly busy with the Fox Hunt. 80m was a pleasant relief.
AA0W - Good conditions lots of stations Thanks to all for fun evening
WB0CJB - I only got to operate an hour of this sprint due to a club meeting. After the second contact I realized I hadn't turned the rig down to 5 watts. So I will be sure to turn the rig down in time for the next sprint.
KG0RD - This was my first NAQCC event and I had a lot of fun.
I was using my FT-450D at 5 watts, however, in the next event I
plan to use a real QRP rig 1 watt called the Hilltopper.
N5GW - 20 and 40 in good shape - 80 a bit noisy here from local wx fronts. Battery started going dead after about an hour (my internal battery, not the radio battery!) so I had to hit the sack after a long day.
N8LA - KX-3; 5W; 200' Dipole Up 35'; NAQCCode Warrior with W8GG Finger Pieces Wired as Dual Paddle Side Swiper by AD0BI. WOW, what a day!! 2/13/24 (our time) was World Radio Day; 2/14/24 (UTC) was Sprint date, Ash Wednesday, Valentine's Day, and would have been the 98th birthday of my dear Mother-in-Law who passed away on 1/30/24!! To top it all off, the bands were open like crazy! Scored Trifecta of band contacts and several Daily Doubles of station contacts! Life is good! Thanks to all who worked me and apologies to all I was unable to pull out. HPE to CU All next time. Lou, N8LA
AK3X - Fun sprint as usual. Lots of domestic interruptions as usual hi hi. 72 to all
