SOAPBOX:
AB9BZ - Thanks for the sprint. 72 ab9bz
KE3V - Worked the first 30 minutes or so of the sprint. 20m was very quiet, while 40 m was very noisy here. I only made two contacts, but it was still fun.
KY0Q - Not much time available tonight but I wanted to make a few Qs. Conditins seemed pretty good.
WG8Y - Hi all. Short nite for me. Had my flue shot & a the new covid booster today. Made 4 Q's and pulled the plug. I'm feeling like 2 lbs. of you know what in a one lb. bag. Gonna take a couple tylenol and go to bed.
Too bad. 20 & 40m were sounding pretty good.
72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y
N1BRI - Cut it short tonight. My QRP rigs are leaving much to be desired. Might be time to try something new. Still was a blast as always. 72 'til next time!
VA3KRJ - Conditions rough from here tonight. Thanks for the contacts and see you next month!
NG7V - My first sprint, went well considering band conditions. All in all, a very rewarding experience.
N2QFD - 1st sprints in years. Nice to catch so many active. Used Alinco DX-SR8 at 1W and Vibro-cootie key.
W1BLU - Surrounded by storms I probably shouldn't have been on but whatever. I did manage to pull out two stations thru the static so it was worth it. Would like to see sprints more than once a month! Thanks!
K4KRW - Nice hearing everyone tonight. Thanks! 73, Richard
KD0V - Another good Sprint - Thanks everyone.
K3RLL - Wow, 40m was popping this evening. I think I only called CW a few times all evening and "the good times just kept on rolling". Signals were strong and not a lot of QRM. How good can it get? Thanks for the contacts.
WB1GYZ - Fired up my TS-520s for the Sprint tonight after installing a CW filter for it. Also replaced the meter bulbs for that warm vintage glow. Even though a new rig can run circles around it, there's just something special about keeping an old timer going.
KI4MZC - I gotta start preparing for these events. I meant to get the straight key hooked up to the kx3 but was running behind so I just went with the paddle. That was ok because I also participated in the Georgia Training Net at 0100z. I didn't hear anything on 20m; got all but one of my exchanges on 40m. Nice to talk to John, K4BAI, again - one of my fellow Georgians! I did little run on 80 after H&P'n (huntin' and peckin') there for a few minutes with one weak NJ station responding (Thanks, OM). Otherwise I heard nothing on 80m. Ok, I know I've been a little slack with my participation but promise to see you all again next time (unless I have a really good excuse!). 72
N8HWV - Great condx. Thanks all.
NA4O - Very difficult tonight with mostly weak signals in the noise with qsb. Thanks to KJ4R, with a good signal from SC, and KC5F in NC, I did manage to log both of the Carolinas! Yay. KX3@5W, Vibroplex Straight Key, simple wire out the back of the townhouse.
K9NUD - Wow, great signals on 40. 20 was okay, 80 was noisy but workable. Lots of great ops out there tonight!
AA2MX - Wish I had more time to-night the activity was great, some very good signals on 40 and 80m. Thanks ever one for a fun spring
72's Bill
KC5F - Great night on 40, with several on 20 and 80, as well. Caught myself starting to send CQ POTA more than once! Thanks, all!
K9QEW - WOW! A lot of activity. All Qs on 40m using my HB rockbound
"Funmitter" and a old TS530 for a RX. Challenging but more
fun! Manual operated TX/RX switch. 72/73s & STAY TUNED! Daryl
WX4RM - My receiver was not very cooperative tonight, I think it is getting a little long in the tooth. Thanks to all who were able to hear me. Had fun as always.
WA2NYY - It was great to get back on the sprint tonight. Slow start for first 1/2 hour. Not much on 20 so I moved to 40, called a lot of CQs and then moved to 80. Thanks to all the station for the repeat Qs on 80.
72 Mark
W4QDV - I was on 40m for this sprint and it was pretty noisy. Operating time was limited but I heard a lot of good stations. Thanks for the QSOs, friends!
73, Dave
K4CBW - Operated 45 minutes, good SK practice. Thanks for patient QSOs!
N4MJ - Another fun evening of ether chasing. Thanks to all participants. Glad to work my ol' friend Chas, W2Sh, in the last minute.
73 de n4mj
AA5LH - Excellent Sigs on 20M from the start to 01:15z then dropped quickly. Switched to 40M where there was plenty of action but plenty of crashes. Overall a great night and great to hear many new members. Take care.
KC3RN - I've missed the last few sprints due to prior commitments, but was able to get some airtime tonight. Condx on 40 were pretty good here. Was only able to work the first hour, but did pretty well.
N3CAA - First sprint with a EFRW built from salvaged telephone wire. As the saying goes, when life brings you a dump truck with raised bucket that rips all of the utility lines off your house, make simple wire antennas. Bands were a bit noisy, but otherwise relatively good here. Thanks all for the QSOs and especially to KN2G for first QSO on 80m!
K2OID - Missed last month and only had an hour tonight, but condx were good and still managed 18 QSOs. Nice to contact Alan, K1MZM again along with K4KBL, K4Bai, WB9HFK, and the other "regulars". Great fun as always!
NF8M - Op time about 15 min. Portable / mobile stationary from Allegan County, Mich. using FT891 dialed down to 5w and one side of the paddle as a straight key. 72 till next month.
NN3E - Signal were strong tonight
See you next month
72 Kevin NN3E
WI8J - IC-705 at 5 watts.
KE5YUM - Well, noisy conditions prevailed in western Arkansas for this my 145th sprint. Looking for better conditions as we get into fall and winter. All the best, Terry
W8GG - Hello Fellow sprinters. Well some days just don't go like you plan. We were going to be in Minot, N.D tosee the kids. With plenty of time to play radio in the sprint. However the plane BROKE. Needles to say we finally got into Minot at 10pm. AHHHHHH! 1st sprint i have missed in about 5 or 6 years. I'v got sprint with drawl. I need a dose of CW badly! Hope to see you all next month. 73 Gregg W8GG
KN1H - Camping this week at Bear Brook State Park in NH. Another improvised and marginal portable operation. Based on all the sub-559 reports most of the heavy lifting was being done by the excellent receivers out there. Thanks to all! KX-2 and straight key. 72, John, KN1H
WB8ENE - Did my usual first hour only. Went straight to 40 meters and stayed there the entire time. The band was in decent shape. Rig is Elecraft K3. Used my K3NG Arduino CW keyer with keyboard input. Thanks for the contacts. 73, Art
N2TNN - Very good condition on the east coast on all three bands. Nice to hear familiar call signs. 73, Dean
KQ1P - I missed the last couple of sprints. Good conditions and plenty of strong signals. Unfortunately many folk were within just a few khz of each other. Good fun.
K4BAI - All three bands pretty good tonight. QRN on 40 caused need for a few repeats. A few I could hear well, but they didn't hear me calling them or couldn't copy my call. Thanks for all QSOs and for those otherss who tried. 72, John, K4BAI.
WB3DSJ - High noise on 40 no contacts 20 better but 4 or 5 stations on same freq.?
KW2A - Pretty good conditions in MD last night. Finally tweaked my EFHW to work on 80M and made some contacts there. Looking forward to fall condx.
KA2KGP - Only a couple QSO's on 20m., 5 on 80m., 40 was the best band this NA. Rig: IC-7000 at 5w. into a G5RV up 25 ft. w/ old WWII German Junkers straight key. 73 & enjoy the fall weather.
WA1GWH - From here in central New York State and working only 40m the skip seemed rather short with many strong signals. 72 and thanks for the contacts!
WB9HFK - Thanks for the QSO's! I'm still learning about new Xiegu X6100!
72, Mark WB9HFK
KC2EGL - Only had an hour to participate. Fun as usual. Now that golf season is winding down, I will have more time for radio fun.
Thanks to all who answered my CQ's
CU next month.
73
Michael
KC2EGL
W1TM - Had to work but was happy to catch the last hour.
WT4U - Either it's been a noisy summer, or I have a new source of evening QRN to track down. Under the weather, so figured on a short night and maybe a dozen QSOs, but got only one. Ouch!
KB1M - 20 was not very productive and spent to much time there. 40 was in good shape with very low QRN, happy eardrums for a welcome change. Thanks for the Q's. 72 Walt
KD3CA - I managed to spend a bit more time for this sprint. Band's were very noisy here with QRN , but most signals were quite good with filters on. Many TNX to all that called. Very sorry to those I missed.
73's to all Don
N5GW - I stayed on one hour. Bands in fair shape. I hope to operate the sprint from outdoors when it cools off a bit more.
KC3MIO - Great run of weather here in NE PA, so I decided to operate from my deck under the stars. MTR4B running 4-5 W on battery with Emtech ZM2 tuner into 125' doublet. It'smuch easier to see the diode dim in the darkness. 20 was good at first, but petered out and 40 was the best band. Signals packed in and often QRM with several stations responding. Worked two non members including one Tech on 40 which is unusual - most go for General before learning CW. 80 was a bit of a bust here.
Anniversary and sprint next month!
K3EMS - 40 meters in great shape here. Lots of signals and little noise. MountainTopper @ 2 watts into a ladder line fed Inverted V up 30'
N2DGQ - Worked mostly 40M. Band here in NJ was fairly good. Had fun as usual.
K1IX - HAD TO QUIT EARLY,BUT ENJOYED THE SHORT TIME. TNX Q's
WB0CJB - This was my first NAQCC sprint. Had a lot of fun though at times 40 meters was quite crowded. Looking forward to the next one!
AA0W - Poor conditions 20M closed early 40M was good 80M to much storm noise. Thanks all for the sprint contacts.
KJ4R - First time in months I've been able to work the full time. Good to work some new members for the first time in a sprint, Welcome to K1WOR, AF4PX, KI4MZC, and N9EEE. I was saddened to hear that K2CWM, Curt #3547, passed away recently. He was a regular sprint participant and a FB CW op. Rest in peace my friend. 73 to all until next time.
AK3X - Got on for last 20 minutes. My wife didn't get the memo about the sprint.
K1WOR - It was fun, but limited score due to S&P only. Sometimes couldn't hear both sides of a qso, and difficult to figure out who was running. Sorry KJ4R for calling over the station you were working, who I could not hear.
W2SH - 20m stayed open only for the first half hour. 40m activity was intense. 80m was very quiet, both for QRN and a dearth of participants, yielding me only one QSO.
KN2G - I started late and was tired from helping someone move. But conditions were so good I just couldn't help myself! I enjoyed every dit and dah. However, I still don't have computer logging down pat yet. The computer to human interface is a bit pixelized.... kn2g
N8LA - KX-3; 5W; 200' Dipole Up 35'; NAQCCode Warrior With W8GG Finger Pieces Wired as Dual Paddle Side Swiper by AD0BI. 20 and 40 were good; nothing heard on 80. XYL has gone South, waaaay South, like South Africa, with three of her girlfriends. Left me with Love and Faith, our two misnamed Hell Cats! Actually, they are very friendly; they are just able to get me to do what they want too many times. Thanks for the contacts and apologies to any I was unable to work. Best 72 to All. HPE CU Next Time. Lou, N8LA
K3JZD - I was only able to work the second hour this time. Good activity most of the way to the end of the event. K4 running 4.9w and 40m Dipole. 73, Jody - K3JZD
WA2FBN - Only able to work first half hour. Tent camping and logging by flashlight; getting cold. TNX 72 Ken
