SOAPBOX:

VA2NW - My first NAQCC sprint!

N1BRI - I was having some rx/tx issues with my station. I missed a few and sorry for those who struggled for nothing. Happy to get some time on the air. 72 all!

KD3CA - Band's very QRN here worked about 30 minutes and quit. TNX to all for the call's 73 Don

NQ2W - I could only play for about half an hour but it was a pretty productive half an hour. Sigs seemed down but were still mostly solid copy. Stayed on 20m and had a blast. Thanks for the QSOs and and the opportunity to participate. Until next time, 72, Will, NQ2W

K3RLL - 20m: Lots of stations at first but few answers. 40m: Not so many stations, but lots more answers. Funny how that works. Another fun evening.

KC2MJT - Rough cndx here but still fun. Tnx to all.

W4HH - Very noisy at my QTH; weak sigs; C U next week.

N0TA - 20m was pretty good. Lots of static crashes on 40. Thanks for the Q's.

KY0Q - Not much time tonight. Fun as always- thanks for the Qs.

KD0V - Thank everyone for the contact!

KE3V - Got to spend about an hour in the sprint. Noisier than expected on 20m, so switched to 40m. Good times.

KN2G - 20 was unobtainium here. 40 good but grew noisier as the night deepened. 80 was barely there. Still good solid fun and frivolity.

AA5LH - It was a good night on 20M. Not so much on 40M, with the Static Crashes. Thanks everyone for the Q's. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Take care. 73/72.

N8HWV - Lotsa noise in WI. Still plenty to work. 73

N9EEE - QRN S9. I was glad to work all I could. I ran for a bit and worked two before I had to give up, the noise level was too high and couldn't pull out the other calls.

KA8HDE - First sprint in a couple of years. Glad to be back on the air after finally getting an antenna back up. Even had a nice QSO with a non-member. 72 de chuck ka8hde

K3WWP - Different setting, same one QSO. Worked the sprint from the SkyView ARA clubhouse where Mike KC2EGL and I were attending a meeting. Not sure what antenna was hooked up to the IC-7300 at 5 watts I was using so I'll put down my score in the Gain antenna group.

KN1H - Got a very late start due to family phone call. Glad to get on for a while and work old and new friends! 72, John, KN1H. IC-7300, Nye Viking Master Key.

K1MZM - Surprised how many signals were readable tonight with all the lightening static from local storms. The few signals I heard on 80 meters were very strong; I wonder where everyone was hanging out.

K9EYT - Tnx for the Q almost missed out I was testing out a 40 yr old trap dipole and heard the CQ NA still the ant works good and the band sounded OK on 40 was it the band or the cleaned up contacts on the ant?? that Hour was fun better then a week on FT8 HI HI next time 72

K9NUD - Nice bands tonight. I fear I spent too much effort on 20M early on. Deep QSB there tonight. 40 was a bit noisy but the signals were great. Thanks for all the great contacts! 72 de k9nud

AC1KV - All QSO on 40 meter. Thanks for the contact.

K6GPB - Heard N0TA and AA2VG but unable to work them. Gave my fist a good workout calling CQ. Maybe next month.

WG8Y - Hi all, Just did S&P at a slow pace tonite. Worked 4 on 20m & 7 on 40m. Listened on 80M and heard VA3RKM. Tried to pull him thru but the QRN was just too much. After several tries I lost him in the QRM. Oh well. Thanks for trying. 80M was not a good place to be tonite. 72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y

KC5F - Participation seemed down, tonight, or else I was just in a poor RF spot. But fun, as always. Thanks, all!

W1TM - Had fun on 20, but 40 was rough copy with static crashes. Had to take a ten minute break in the middle to pen my ducks in the backyard. I needed the stretch anyway.

N9OL - 1st NAQCC sprint in a long time. Had fun!!

NA4O - Operated portable in NH with an indoor vertical due to stormy local weather. Heard stations on 40 and 80, but able to log only one... possibly...mahbe zero depending on if W8TEE really heard me or another station. KX2@5W, CW Morse straight key.

K9QEW - First 1/2 hour slow on 40 meters. Band condx fair with some QRN & QSB. Overall not too bad. 72/73s & STAY TUNED! Daryl

KI8FV - This is my first Sprint and even being back on CW code after several years. I had a heart problem, and then my wife died so I've been off the air for a while but I'm trying to get back at it

K9PM - Murphy struck! As the Sprint began we were in the middle of a severe thunder/hail storm. My 133' end fed showed an infinite SWR. I grabbed my Begali Blade straight key, my phone and a headset, and made a beeline out the door to the car in pouring rain. I dialed down the power to 5W on my FT-891, hooked up the key and headset, went to 20m, tuned the antenna and started listening for "CQ NA". It was a challenge to work stations on a 6-ft long mobile antenna running QRP but I managed to make 6 QSOs!

VE3IIM - ..Many new calls for me this month. As usual, I think a pretty good sprint..

W4QDV - I only had a little time on the air but was fortunate to find AC1KV and K9NUD just before the Sprint ended. The static on 40m was up to S9 here with lots of local storms and lightning. I'm not often a QRP op, so it gave me a new appreciation of you regulars. Thanks for the QSOs! 73, Dave W4QDV

W4NLT - 20 Was short and long for a while so most work was on 40 which was a little noisy. Good to see the QRP faithful out in force. TNX fore the QSOs 72 Andy

N3CAA - Perfect WX for operating in the backyard this evening. Very little heard on 20m, but better on 40m despite S5 QRN. Called CQ a few times with no takers, so all contacts were S&P. Thanks for the QSOs and looking forward to next month!

WX4RM - Lots of fun working through the QRN, glad to be heard at all considering tonight's propagation. Always enjoy these monthly sprints.

N4MJ - Several new participants. Tnx to all participants. 73 de n4mj

KE5YUM - S8 QRN/M blocked out most signals on 20 but I managed to snag one. Looking forward to better conditions next month. 73, Terry FT 817 with CWMORSE straight key.

WB8ENE - Didn't see much activity on 20, so I spent all of my time (45 minutes) on 40. Lots of signals, but most of them were for POTA activations. Managed to make a few contacts though. Thanks for the contacts. 73, Art

W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Good night fer sprint with all the bands showing activity. Started on 20 went to 40 es 80 then back n forth. Worked stations on all 3 bands and some true 599 signals. Only had the 1st hour to play. Always fun to end my day with a sprint. Worked many old friends and a few new guys too. See you all next month. 73 Gregg W8GG

WA2FBN - Only able to work last half hour of spring. Used my Pentek TR35 on 40m and my old J38 straight key; band was a little noisy. Tnks to all. 72 Ken WA2FBN

KA2KGP - All 40 m. this sprint. 20 & 40 were in bad shape here in WNY. Rig: IC-7000 at 5w. into a G5RV up 25 ft. w/ straight key. 73 to all & thanks for contacts.

N2TNN - Very good night in VA with many strong signal reports and seeing familiar call signs. Looking forward to next month.

WB1GYZ - Was an especially enjoyable Sprint because I finally found and installed the CW filter for my TS 520s.

WT4U - Noisy bands and lots of interruptions made this one hard. I'm ready for thunderstorm season to be over.

K4JPN - Got a late start as waited till thunderstorm passed at 0130Z. Tried 20M and 80M no NAQCC stations heard, made a couple of QSOs on 40M. 72, Steve K4JPN

N8LA - KX-3; 5W; 200' Dipole Up 35'; NAQCCode Warrior with W8GG finger pieces wired as dual paddle side swiper by AD0BI. Missed first 35 minutes watching recording of last day of Tour de France and viewing ninth inning of another Cardinals loss. 20 noisy again, but able to work a few there. 40 not as noisy, allowing more contacts. Thanks to all who worked me and apologies to all I was unable to work. All the Best to All. HPE CU next time. Lou, N8LA

N2EIM - Called CQ on 20M but I did not get any responses.

VE3DQN - Lots of signals tonight. Would love to see over 100 logs turned in.

N5GW - 20 was not very good here - weak sigs and QSB. 40 was much better. Participation seemed down a bit this month.

W2SH - 20m was only briefly open. 40m was active with a small amount of QSB but no QRN. 80m was entirely free of QRN but with a disappointingly modest level of activity.

KB1M - I was totally unprepared for sprint having overlooked the email notice. Both 20 and 40 seemed noisy with QSB. After two Q's were lost in the QRN, QSB, I decided not to compete against mother nature tonight. 72/73, Walt

KC2EGL - First sprint in ages. This one was along side John K3WWWP in the Skyview ARS Club House during a weekly meeting. I plan on getting back into the sprints more often after golf season.

K8NGW - 20 was a NOGO here with deep QSB. I lost two QSO's when they faded off into nothingness! Moved to 40 where there was high QRN but minimal QSB. Finished up on 80. Another rough but fun night! By the way, did anyone else hear the voice transmissions on 14.0605? They weren't SSB or AM. I was unable to decipher them. Non-licensed operators/pirates?

AA2VG - I was glad to be back in the sprint. I ran my KD1JV kit radio on 20 and 40. For 80 meters I ran my Heathkit HW-9. Unfortunately I wasn't a ham in the Heathkit days. The HW-9 was built by K2HSY (Jim Logan SK). I have the 105 page manual with Jim's notes from 1984. It still is working great. 72 Peter AA2VG

KC3MIO - K2 @ 5w into 125' doublet. Tried 20 and didn't make first contact until 0046. Kept checking 40 and heard no signals, so I turned to 80 and back to 20. Never heard anything on 40 and I suspected that there was a problem with the radio. Next day I checked 40 with another radio and there were signals, but not on the K2. Discovered that a parameter was set to Y instead of N. Radio is working normally now.

N2DGQ - Only was able to work for one hour. I started on 20M, but 40M was the better band. Should have started there. Better luck next time.

VE6VIC - Band condition noisy.
