SOAPBOX:
K3WWP - My worst noise was absent tonight. Could have made more QSOs, but had other plans. Maybe if it is quiet again next month, I'll try a longer session.
KC2MJT - Only had 30 minutes to play this evening but worked more stations than usual in that time. 20m was dismal, heard two NA stations but couldn't work them. 40m was the usual work horse. Thanks to all, especially the new numbers. Fun as always
AB9BZ - Thanks for the sprint and Q's 73 Ab9bz
K3RLL - Fun night: (Sure enjoying a real antenna for a change. -)
20m was really nice until it folded about 01:00; dropped like the sun at the equator! 40m was hopping then, however and with nice strong signals - lots of them new to me. Nice to work W2SH again. Best DX was DK1VD - Tnx Manfred. 72, ... Don
WB4OMM - Brand new antenna installed here, an off center fed dipole covering 160m to 6m with an LDG tuner. Worked fabulous tonight! Almost didn't make it to Sprint, thunderstorms right up to 9:30 PM local. None now, but coming back.......glad I got a few! 72 to all, see you next month!!! Steve WB4OMM
WD4OHD - Nothing heard on 80m tonight. A few strong signals on 20m at the beginning. 40m became excessively noisy about half way through, and I gave it up at that point. Thanks to all.
KD0V - Everything on this end was working for a change. Thank everyone for the QSo's.
K4KRW - Begali Blade straight key tonight. I got the SprintLogger software working for me for the first time. It worked well. I had a direct line into GA. I did hear one CO station but I could not get back to them. I had a little bit of QSB. I got 2 on 80m and the rest were on 40m. I didn't hear anyone on 80m.
Thanks everyone for another fun night. Richard
K2CWM - Made 20 contacts, 12 states, all on 40m. 5w and straight key to a vertical. Thanks fer all the contacts.
DK1VD - again a nice contest fun on 20m and 40m
KC5F - Both 20 and 40 were nice tonight, but nothing on 80. The biggest problem was sticking to the desk and key with 98-99% humidity. Sometimes it might be nice to have air conditioning! Thanks, all, for the fun.
W1ND - Very slow start on 20. Burned 30 minutes for 1 or 2 contacts, thinking it might not go so well, 40 was slow start too, then the gates opened.
Another fun one, this time from my home QTH.
Any sprint I get Steve, KC5F in the logs has to be a good one.
W1RCP - I need to get my UTC days straight. I made plans to play cards with my teenager. He was killing me until the last two rounds where I had great hands and finished 100 points ahead. I got to play the Sprint for 30 minutes, though. Maybe next month I'll be back in my regular schedule and will remember to start on time. :) 72!
KC3RN - Only got to work the last hour, and had a pretty high noise level here. Still managed to do okay. I missed a few QSO's - I'm sorry if I missed you. Just really noisy here tonight.
WA2NYY - Great to be back on the sprint after many months away. Missed the first 30 minutes but 40 was the band to be on. Was able to work everyone I heard.
72
Mark
KF7Z - Got off to a bad start, logger wold not function and then I set up at 14057.5 and started calling, looked at the rules and moved to 14062,1 then started getting a few calls but pretty slow here tonight.
Elecraft K3s to Dipole at 25' running 5w
72 Danny
AB5XM - My first sprint in many years. Only two qso's. Lots of noise. Thanks to K4BAI who worked repeatedly to get my member number correctly. Thanks!!
WB2LQF - 40 METERS WAS FABULOUS TONIGHT ALL UP AND DOWN THE EAST COAST BUT NOTHING TO THE WEST! HOPE IT WASN'T MY NEW ANTENNA ORIENTATION. FIRST NAQCC ACTIVITY WITH MY NEW BEGALI SWING COOTIE. IT'S BIGGER THAN THE KX2! SORRY I ONLY HAD ONE HOUR. FINALLY WORKED MY W1ND, MY YOUTUBE BUDDY!
W4CMG - Started late due to a class. I only started to send the wrong number once (sorry!). Fun sprint! 73 de W4CMG
K3JZD - 40m only for the first 90 minutes - 40m was not real long this evening. Had a few I could not pull out of the noise. Softrock RXTX SDR with MX-P50M to get output up to 5 watts, American Morse KK1B Key, 40m dipole. Jody - K3JZD
K9QEW - All Qs on 40m. Seemed like good activity but most signals at or
below noise level. 72/73s & STAY TUNED. Daryl
K6FA - Heavy QRN with vertical. Some QSB as well. Heard W4NLY but just could not finish it as QSB hit. 40 was just coming in at the end of the contest but unable to work anyone. Maybe next time will be better or I am going to have to go to my beams....
N8HWV - Accidentally started in keyer mode so stayed with it. Thankful for those that put up with my speedy keyer. Couldn't easily slow it down. 73
NQ2W - Pretty challenging conditions here at my QTH. Signals for the most part were just above the noise...except WX4RM, Ron. He was loud on 20m. I was honored to work DK1VD, Fred. Thanks for sticking with me so we could complete the QSO! Thanks NAQCC for the enjoyable QRP evening! Hope to hear you next time 72, Will, NQ2W
WB1GYZ - Congrats to Brian N1BRI on his first Sprint. I think he'll be a regular here. He's practically my neighbor. Thanks to all for a fun evening.
N1BRI - My first sprint -- what a blast!!!
K9DRP - The power went off at my QTH about 20 minutes before the start, so I spent the first 1 1/2 hours on field power. Lots of activity on 20, and it was a pleasure to work DK1VD. TNX fer QSOs everyone! 72, Don
KK4ITX - Started on 20m after working the FP Walk for the Bacon, the band was free of dits & dahs. 40 was much better until the noise popped up and made some difficult to copy. Good time !
W4NLT - Good haul tonight. Good to see the regulars and thanks for several 2 band QSOs. 72/73
KY4ID - This is one of my favorite events. Great turnout tonight, but mults kind of light, probably due to band condx. All Qs on 20m/40m. Checked 80m but no one there and band noisy. Good to work some familiar calls and some new ones as well. Worked 1 new non-member, which was a first. Thanks for all of the Qs and see you next month!
TA/N7QR - 67th, IC706 dialed down, Buddistik tied to 2nd fl railing, QRPGuys paddle driving 706 set to bug emulation. From Menemen Turkey with daughters family. Stayed on 40, heard I1MMR and SX44JM but they couldn't hear me. No US stations heard. Russ TA/N7QR (this month and next month)
K2OID - Wow! Condx on 40 were great all night! Even more fun than usual.
K4BAI - 20 and 40 very good tonight to the eastern half of the country. Nothing west of a line from TX through CO to MN to ON and CT/RI. Tried 80 for a few minutes near the end, but no signals heard and no answers to my CQs. QSOs by band: 20M: 22. 40M: 34. 73/72, John, K4BAI.
N4MJ - Only 1 on 20m. Was a good night on 40m. Thanks to all participants
W2JEK - Had a good time. Was on the whole time. 3 QSO on 20, 19 on 40 and 2 0n 80 Rig Kenwood TS-570D at 5W . J-38 key
72 and 73 DON W2JEK
VE3IIM - ..Only had one hour, due to T-Storms. Nothing here on 20. QCX and old navy key=fun!
NF8M - Op time about 40 min. Not much heard on 20 (plus S9 noise makes it difficult) but 40 was good. No runs, just S&P. TNX es 72.
WB9HFK - Thanks for all the QSO's! See everyone next time!
72, Mark WB9HFK
WX4RM - Conditions on 20 was constant s9 noise, less so on 40. Was glad to be heard! Had fun as always.
KC3MIO - My usual slow start - tried 20, heard other stations but couldn't get a QSO. But then things were active on 40 from 0100 to 0200 before tailing off in the last hour with four contacts on 80. Tried 20 again and heard KF7Z (I think) with a lot of QSB, but he couldn't hear me. I thought I had a solid contact with N1BRI but couldn't close the deal - maybe next time. Thanks to all my contacts, apologies to those that failed and thanks to the NAQCC.
KE5YUM - Long signals on 20 meters tonight. Had fun as always. Hope to hear you next month. FT 817 with CWMORSE key. Terry
KN2G - I used my new single paddle lever key from qrpguys and key line pi swivel key mount from qrpworks on my kx2. I set the key to hand key and used it as a sideswiper. It was a little rough at times getting used to the new key's feel, but I love the combination! Great fun as always! I got the last bit of propagation on 20 for 2 and ran 40 for 21 more contacts. My new personal best. 80 was dead dead dead here.
KG5HCF - Lot of noise here (antenna problems). My first sprint in awhile and really enjoyed it. Tnx to everyone.
K8KUF - Rig Yaesu FT-817 to Windom up 35 feet using an old brass straight key.
K9NUD - I wish I had more time. 20M seemed to be closed, but 40M was alive with signals. I checked 80 and heard nothing there.
WI8J - Thanks for the contacts! 72
KA6J - Tough conditions here in south central Texas. Heavy QSB and very noisy. I had to work extra hard for every QSO! Still very much enjoyed the sprint! looking forward to the next. Thanks for the sprint!
AA5LH - This Sprint at first seemed be drab w/std static crashes & difficult conditions. Alas, things are not what they appear. Started out as normally on 20M & almost remained there for entire time. Many good signals heard, 449-589 throughout the event. Logged 13 Q's on 20M then the band dropped completely at 02:12z. Only 1 Q on 40M. Really enjoy all these events. Thanks to ALL. Take care.
K9OSC - Nice having 20 and 40 meters open last night. Many thanks to W2SH for contacts on both bands. 80 meters was all noise here. See you next month.
W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Good nite fer sprint. 20 was tough gg at the start, got a couple then went to 40 where things were busy but some DEEP QSB here in Mich. Sorry to the VE3 UH?? calling me.. Faded right out. Nice to hear several new members tonight. Seemed like more short skip than long. Gud to have ol' friend Louis N8LA answer my CQ, along wid several other regulars. Checked 80 es called CQ but no joy. went back to 20 and bagged a couple more from CO. Band noise picked up alot later and i pulled the plug. See you all next month. 73 Gregg W8GG
WG8Y - Hi all, Only operated app. 45 minutes. Long day. Used my Elecraft KX1 on batteries. Was showing 1.4 watts into my Ground mounted Hustler 6BTV.
Take care. 72 from N.C, Mark WG8Y
KA2KGP - A good turnout this sprint. 20m. was weak, 40 was OK but QRN from T-storms on both 40 & 80m. Lowered G5RV after sprint for storm. Stay cool out there.
K4JPN - 20M seemed to be the band, I tried 80M and 40M and did not hear able o raise any NAQCC member. 72, Steve K4JPN
WA2FBN - Bands noisy many stations just above noise level. Only heard anyone on 40m. Xiegu X5105 @ 5w into EFHW sloper; Palm single lever paddle.
KB1M - Fun evening, 20 not as good as hoped, thanks for the Q'S
KQ1P - Loads of week signals, including mine! Hot as blazes in the shack.
N2JJF - Not much activity on 20m.
Nothing heard on 80m
40m was the money band .Heard a lot more than i worked.
W2SH - 20m held up for the first half hour and of my nine QSOs I again worked DK1VD, a NAQCC member. 40m featured short and medium skip zones; my first QSO was W2JEK, 30 miles distant. My furthest were K9OSC and KD0V, both a kilomile away.
VE3GNU - Had to curtail my participation due to a technical issue. 73---Ernie
AK3X - Got in for the last 20 minutes of the sprint. 40 meters was pretty good.
N8LA - KX-3; 5W; 200' Dipole Up 35'; NAQCCode Warrior (With W8GG Finger Pieces!) Wired As Dual Paddle Side Swiper. Wasn't in June sprint, but I'm Baaack! Almost forgot about sprint as was engrossed in watching recording of Stage 11 of Tour de France in which Jonas Vingegaard wrested the Yellow Jersey, worn by the overall Tour leader, from Tadeg Pogacar. Happy to have friend Gregg, W8GG, as first sprint contact with NAQCCode Warrior, wired as dual paddle side swiper, having his beautiful finger pieces. Also had nice QSO with Dan, N0ZT, just across StL who was running 100w. Thanks to all who worked me and apologies to those I could not pull out of the noise. All The Best To All. Hope to CU next time. Lou, N8LA
N5GW - I could only stay briefly, but was happy to see 20M activity.
KE1AK - Operating from my camp site, I managed to muster 6 Q's while tending the fire and swatting mosquitoes. Used my Venus SW-3C with ebay 3d printed key and end fed antenna just high enough not to hit my head on.
WT4U - That was fun while it lasted. Heard a thunderous rumble through my headphones and pulled up the weather radar. Incoming! Quickly shut down and disconnected the coax. Storms finally quit at 9 the next morning. Other than that, CDX seemed good on 20 & 40 and it was nice to work some old pals.
WA1GWH - Worked 17 stations and 10 different SPCs in about 40 minutes on 40m then bailed out due to the static crashes. Thanks, all, for the contacts! 72
