Now I'm intrigued to see what Tom WY3H will come up with for the December End of the World challenge now that we've had this little preview challenge. KX1NH - Just built my K3 over the weekend. All contacts for this challenge were made on the K3. Having fun up North. 72/73 Randy K1IEE - Had a good time with the challenge. Most contacts made on 10,15 and 30 meters. I challenged myself to do the words with all DX QSO's. 73 Dick (And almost all-Europe too - K3WWP) N8XMS - I always enjoy our word challenges. I thought that I was just about done with this one and then John told me that K3Y/5 and K3Y/3 could not be counted as different calls. So it was back to the hunt and I finally managed to work WA1YJY on the last weekend of the month for my final "Y". 73 (Yes, for example using our special event calls, N3A/2, N3A/3, etc. are the same call since one license (or SE authorization) covers both while N2A, N3A, etc. are different calls with different licenses. Likewise DJ3CC/HI and DJ3CC/3A would be separate calls since a separate license had to be obtained by DJ3CC for each call. See? - K3WWP) VE3FUJ - I enjoyed this Challenge as always. I were beginning yo get frantic with only 28 hrs left in the Challenge I finally landed a " T ". I find when you really need a letter, they are not very numerous. You may hear lots of Call-signs no " T " 's in them. Hi Hi. Looking forward to the Dog Challenge or though I'm a Cat Person. I do not dislike Dogs, --- I just like Cats better. I have enough in that 15 pound "TOM" Cat ( No fat ) we now have. BTW he was 6yrs old last December 7th. 72 Brion # 3011 VE3HNE - Did not get this challenge completet, but had fun trying. Rig was a SW40 at 900mW. Ant was a dipole up about 27 feet. I am hoping to get a rig that will do more than just one band. Walt W2JEK - A good challenge and lots of fun. Operated 10 through 40 using an FT 857D at 5 watts to my attic 40M full-wave loop. I spent a few hours on the 31st trying to finish the challenge, but I missed the other words by only one or two letters each. Guess that means that the challenge is doing its job of getting me on the air more . . . 72/72 James N1RU #5754 (in Indiana). PREMISE: It's one of our alphabet challenges related in a way to our December 2012 challenge which is The End of the World Challenge because if the Mayan calendar is correct, then 2012 will be the last year of life on Earth as we know it. TIME FRAME: The first day of the month 0000Z through the last day of the month 2400Z RULES: Just make ALL the following words in CAPITAL LETTERS as in any other of our alphabet challenges: DOOMSDAY MAYAN CALENDAR (for skeptics) HOAX DEBUNK MYTH (for believers) YIKES ARGH This is an easy challenge with only 8 words and 44 letters because of the stress involved with the coming of the end of the world.
