KJ4R - Only able to operate first hour. Got an early day at work tomorrow. Lots of QRN tonight from static crashes. Always fun to make a few contacts. KX3 to vertical and Vibroplex Bug.
W9GFB - Great time only had an hour. First attempt while using a bug.
WB8Y - Hi all, Only spent a few minutes in the Sprint tonite. Hope everyone had fun. 72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y
K9EYT - 20 AND 40 BOTH GOOD HERE IN WEST CENTRAL FL. RIG ICOM 706MK2, BEGALI BLADE KEY TNX ALL 73
N4API - Lots of static tonight on 40, but plenty of NAQCCers out there, just had to dig them out of the noise.
KY0Q - 40M was in good shape and QRN was pretty low. There were so many on 40M that there were some instances of QRP QRM! I don't think I've heard that before. Thanks for the Qs.
K3RLL - Wow, who turned 20 meters back on this evening, or should I say, where have I been? Enjoyed a great half-hour with nice, strong signals until our fleeting glimpse of 20m went out at 0100z. Sigh. Great night! QRP is back! 72/73 ... Don
VE3DQN - Tnx fer all the Q's! I had a great run tonight. Even got some on 20m before it closed down here in the east. Heard very little on 80m.
WB4OMM - Wow! What happened to the bands?? 20M dead, 40M had S5 noise - 80M had S9 noise, and no NA heard! Nothing like the good signals as last month! (At least here on the FL NE Coast). Oh well, got to QSO some old friends tonight. I quit just after an hour, noise so bad I was getting a headache! Hope everyone else fared better. 72/73 to all, hope to see you next month! Steve WB4OMM
K9VEG - Seems like this should be a lot easier than it is.
NI4U - Tough condx due to wind at my QTH tonight. Lots of QRN and QSB, but hey, still had fun in my second ever sprint as I continue to improve my CW skills!
NF5U - Worked 40m all nite, Started out slow and then picked up about half way thru the sprint. Bad QSB here, had to request many repeats. Lots a great ops out there. I think my ears are going. Used the Yaesu FT-817nd, battery powered with the Vibroplex standard bug. I even worked our President, Steve WB40MM. 73's see everyone next month.
N5AAS - Great night. Nice contacts on 20m.
AA9L - Safe at home ain't that bad. Tried 80 but not much happening so went back to 40.
KF7Z - Tough conditions in Wyoming tonight, lots of lightning crashes and signals there and then gone but still a lot of fun for 5 watts, Thanks for the Qs 72 Danny
N2HTT - Haven't done a sprint in a while, almost missed this one but saw the email when it was half over. 72 all
KC5F - Computer decided to hang up on logging QSOs six times, once causing a 15-minute reboot. Arggh! But it was still fun. 40m very nice, 80m pretty noisy.
AB8RL - Enjoyed the Sprint, 40 meters in fairly good shape. Always glad to give out the WV NR, 73 to all
K4KRW - I had contacts on 3 bands tonight. Felt good. I was borrowing a friends IC-7300. It was a fun night. I heard a few calls I hadn't heard in a while. Thanks everyone for a fun night.
KF7WNS - Fun night tonight. Lots of activity on 20m, but QSB was murder. Sorry... to those I lost. Chased W2SH on 20 & 40, but make it happen...lost in QSB. CU next time
AF3Z - I turned on my rig after a local net and heard some CQ NA activity. So, I jumped in for the last half hour and had a good time. Thanks! 72 -Jim AF3Z
K9DRP - Hooked up the old Argosy and just had fun working S&P. QSB was bad for the first hour on 40. Not much activity on 80. I appreciate the QSO's with my "close enough" tuning on my analog dial.
WB9HFK - I stayed on 40M for the entire 2 hour run. Quite a bit of QSB as seems normal these days. And, there was some QRN from somewhere - sorry to those I could not pull out of the noise. A really great 2 hours of QRP Fun as always! Thanks for the Q's! 72, Mark WB9HFK
WA2NYY - A very enjoyable sprint tonight. Started on 40 and it was hot! Continuous action for about the first 45 minutes. I heard a few zero landers in there too, but just missed them. Sorry if I couldnt pull everyone out. The band seemed a bit long and then things calmed down a bit. Moved to 80 and had some good runs there too. A bit noisy, but still a good time. 72 Mark WA2NYY
WA2JSG - Worked 20m and 40m, all good condx here. Used my old IC-7000 running 5 watts to a vertical, using an American Morse KK-1 Straight Key. Always fun! Curt WA2JSG NJ #3457
KN1H - Lots of QSB and 339 reports but no problem for intrepid NAQRPers! Thanks all for another fun sprint. 72, John, KN1H
AI6SL - Tough going. Lots of reverse beacon reports but few QSOs.
K8NGW - A few QSO's on 20m then spent the rest of the sprint on 40m where I lost a few QSO's due to slow but heavy fading. Lots o' fun!
WB2LQF - Forty was lively tonight. Had a good time.
K9QEW - Good activity on 40 meters. Fun operating my HB xtal controlled TX but somewhat challenging at times Stay Tuned 72/73s Daryl
K3JZD - Good event. Lots of activity. Also lots of QSB on 40m. Reports given out where based on the moment and went up or down after that. Fortunately my noise level was pretty low most of the evening. Used a 40m QCX running 3 watts. I was battery powered using a very small 500mAh LiPo battery for the first 100 minutes. Had to switch to using a power supply for the last 20 minutes. Jody - K3JZD
N4MJ - Excellent evening of 'Sprinting'. I'm stuck on 40m since the storm took down my tower and other antennas on May 3rd. Still lots of fun and welcome to the many new folks. 73, have a GREAT month & stay SAFE. N4MJ//glenn
K4KBL - Best QSO count tonight. Signals every where. Had a tough time finding a clear frequency. Signals stronger overall than it has been for last several months. New antenna tonight, HyEndFed at about 50' in slipper configuration.
AD0YM - Yaesu 450 D, OCF Dipole @ 30 FT, MFJ Deluxe Versa Tuner II, and Navy Flameproof Key. Nice to have 20 meters open at the start. Lots of activity tonight. Forty meters was very active but noisy. Dropped down to 80 meters but not much activity to work and those present were weak.
K3CTN - Moved from a Keyer to a new Straight Key and was a little rusty on it, but had a lot of fun.
N8HWV - Heard nothing on 20m or 80m, though I hit the RBN on 20 when I called. Took a while to get in the flow and then it all worked out well. Great fun. (Huge signal heard from WB9HFK in Green Bay).
NN9K - Finally nice weather so i could operate the Sprint from my favorite hill. FUN!!
W4HH - Lots of good signals on 40.
K0VD - First NAQCC CW Sprint and first time using Genlog. Challenging working QRP from inside my apartment but still fun. I just worked search and pounce this time put plan to run next time.
NN3E - Very Enjoyable. Thanks everyone for the QSO's .. See you next month 73 NN3E
KE5YUM - Signals were sparse in the 30 minutes I dedicated for the sprint. Thanks to KB9 ILT for working me. Looking forward to next month. Terry
VE3KAE - My first sprint. Just learning CW. Noise level was high.
WB8ENE - Got a late start this time. Signals were quite strong this evening on both 40 and 80 meters. Thanks for the contacts. 73, Art
K5TSK - Thanks for the contacts. I'm no contester, but this was fun. Forgive my goof-ups please. Like once calling the station who answered CQ, not the sender. To the WY station at the end, I tried two different antennas, but just couldn't make it. Sorry I slowed you down, but thanks for trying to pull me out. 72 all.
N2COD - My last NA sprint was over 3 years ago, so I was glad to get back into the frey. I operated from my stationary mobile about 7 miles from my brothers QTH (KA2KGP). I got him 3 times on 20, 40 & 80m. Also snagged 2 IL stations, KC9IL & W9GFB. Rig: Yaesu FT-817 into Hamstick vertical w/ leg-strap straight key in the mobile. 73
AC6NN - Lots of activity tonight and nice signals.
WK4WC - My portable RV setup did not perform all that well but great fun anyway! Thanks and 73 to all
N8LA - KX3, 5W, 200' Dipole @ 35', CW Morse Black Plastic Hand Key. Thanks to all who worked me; apologies to all I was not able to pull out, especially the K1, I believe it was. Happy to hear all of you, including my old home boy friend Gregg, WB8LZG. I thought I had figured out what that mystery part on page 2 of the May Newsletter was. I thought it was a device for spoken International Morse Code, because the ones I have received with various rigs seem to plug into a place labeled MIC. I thought that was an acronym for Mouthed International Code. In our present situation, I thought it would work for touchless International Code by sanitizing it, setting it at a social distance away and speaking dits and dahs. I tried it, but it didn't work. GO FIGURE !! VERY BEST WISHES TO ALL. Stay well and hope to work you next time. 72, Lou, N8LA/QRP
KB9ILT - Spent the first half hour on 20 meters where conditions were pretty good. Switched to 40 meters and discovered that the wind had taken down my end fed antenna, so I called it a night. This cool, windy, wet spring is getting rather tiring...
VE9BEL - IT WAS A LOT OF FUN TONIGHT! 73 BERNARD
WB8LZG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Good sprint tonight. 20m was a bit disappointing. I started out on 20 but the noise was terrible and band iffy at the start. went to 40 where condx were perty good. Had to pull the plug early, but had fun. Nice to work old friend N8LA Louis, and several other regulars. Hope to see u all next month. 73 Gregg
KB8FE - Heard LOTS of sprint participants here in northern Ohio. Nice weather conditions.
K1MZM - Conditions were better than last month. Still trying to dig out the weak ones in the noise.
NR3Z - Lots of signals. Good time
K2EKM - Trying out my vxo RockMite for a few minutes. Hadn't used it in years & glad it still works. Ant is a portable EFHW cut for 40 cs up about 12 feet supported by a painter's pole. A very basic setup!
VE3KZ - It was fun but a Check Log this time. Look for 899 next time. I'll be back.
W0ITT - Excellent event, lots of great QRP Ops on the air. Thanks to everyone for the contacts. 72 de Gary W0ITT #9113
K4JPN - Heavy QRN on 80M and 40M, glad to work some signals on 20M. 72 Steve K4JPN
AD4N - 2 hrs 17 QSOs 13 States. MTR3b 3 Watts & One 9-volt battery! What a blast!
N5GW - Good to hear 20M open. 40M was good, but 80M noisy with few weak sigs.
K9OSC - This is my 75th Sprint. Each one has been great fun and I particularly enjoy meeting new members and renewing friendships with them. 40 meters was a good band last night for the first hour. Later on more noise and QSB crept in and signals dispersed. See you all next month.
K4BAI - Band conditions very good. 20M open as short as VA. 40M good to eastern US out to TX and MN. 80M very noisy wiht QRN but worked TN and NY on 80. Good participation. Thanks for all QSOs. 73/72, John, K4BAI
KC9IL - Pretty good conditions on 40 meters during the entire event. Had a nice steady stream most of the time. Took a quick peek at 80 but there was nothing happening. Must have dried up the well the last 15 minutes. Thanks everyone for participating and stay healthy.
KA2KGP - 20m. Was good for a while, 40m.. was busy & 80m. was in bad shape here in WNY. Good turnout with many signals this sprint. Rig: Icom IC 7000 at 5w. into G5RV up 25 ft. w/ WWII German Junkers straight key. 73 to all
N7QR - 45th Sprint. KX3 + 1958 Vibroplex Presentation into a Butternut HF6V gnd mtd vert w/o radials. First time with KX3. Only a half hour. Could hear 'em on all 3 bands, they could not hear me. CU next time. Russ - Portland OR
WB1GYZ - Strong sigs fm WA2NYY and W2JEK, both on 80. Any day now for those spots to reappear...maybe.
KB1M - 20 started out well but seemed to peter out after the first half hour, 40 seemed packed with sprinters, QRN, QSB presented a challenge at times, but as always a fun evening. Thanks for the QSO's, 72/73, Walt
W0KFG - Missed the first 1/2 hr only to find pretty decent sigs on 40m with a pipeline into IL it seemed. KX3 @ 5w to attic wire, '57 Vibroplex Lightning.
W3TTT - My first contact was a member of NAQCC, but returned my CQ and asked for my SKCC number, probably not in the Sprint. The second contact was similar, but not a member. All of the rest of the contacts were in the Sprint. Still lots of fun to participate in the Sprint. Thank you to the organizers. I started and ended on 80 meters. Someone emailed me and said that many stations were calling me. I could not hear them. Perhaps it is due to local noise. I am in a city.
N2JJF - lots of stations on tonight on all 3 bands. Noise floor higher than normal at my location.
KD3CA - Conditions was tough at times with QRN & QSB . SRI to the stations calling and couldn't get call with the QRM . Was using a left handed Bug , right handed , and sri I had to repeat the Number at times. All the best to all , 73 Don
AC1BS - HEARD N6IET BUT HE COULDN T HEAR ME..
VE3GNU - More challenging than last month, variable signal strengths, some QRM, and my 44th sprint. Ten Tec Jupiter at 5 W., and Begali paddle. Thanks to all for their paticipation. 73
WX4RM - Conditions were good tonite, was able to make contacts on all 3 bands. Was fun as always, and always look forward to these sprints.
AA0W - Poor conditions, deep fade on 20M, storm in the area made copy hard on 40m. Did not try 80M.
KG5RXG - So much for last month's success; back down to one in the log. I will keep trying though!
W2SH - 20m stayed open for the first half hour but with QSB and fairly unstable conditions. 40m was in good shape and active, with short skip during the final minutes. 80m had plenty of noise, but signal strengths were mostly 579 or better.
KC3MIO - The band was filled with signals and I couldn't seem to find an open spot for a CQ and everybody seemed engaged in a QSO. It took me 20 minutes to get my first contact. 20 M wasn't working for me in NE PA - too bad. All the activity was on 40M although I did have one contact on 80. My first sprint with the Xiegu G90S - a great time as usual and I hope to get more contacts in June. Thanks to all I worked.
W6UG - Storms in the area and static crashes ruined my day...had to give up!
NF8M - Only had a few minutes but 40 was in great shape.
W2JEK - Had a good night. Bands were noisy. Had a good time. Rig Yaesu FT-840 at 5W. Used SPEEDX straight key. 72 and 73 DON W2JEK
WA2FBN - Bands a little tough tonight. Always fun to enter these sprints. Tnx to all who help keep them active. 72 Ken
WI2W - Got a late start. 5 Minutes before the contest I discovered I needed to find and install a different plug on my Lionel J38 key. I cleaned the contacts too. Then I gave out the wrong member number to another participant and had to track him down and correct the mistake. Stayed on 40M - only made 12 QSO's. Had fun anyway! Thanks for the Q's. 72, Steve
AA5LH - Only had a half an hour to work the Sprint. Found 40M very noisy with very poor results. Yet I really enjoy the fun aspect of these challenges. Keep up the great work all. CU next month. Take care.
KN2G- I missed Mar/Apr sprints driving semi/reefer during the Covid food shortage. Glad to be back. On a whim I grabbed my go kit and set up in the gazebo in the yard. Thrilled to make a few contacts with the Buddipole, ft817nd, tiny key and Harbor Freight lithium battery.
N4SO - See you next time... Ken N4SO AL 10076
KQ1P - The sprint started out great, or so it seemed. Deep QSB and the strongest stations were often on the exact same frequency at the same time. Always fun but I didn't have much to show for my effort. New antennas in the works so maybe next sprint will be better.
NR5NN - Tuff conditions in western us, very few signals seen/heard 20m 1st 35 minutes, 6 Q's, next 30 minutes, zip, had worked everyone seen/heard 40m 40 minutes, zip, two stations heard, no contact
K8UDH - I haven't been on a NAQCC Sprint recently and I had a blast on this one. Only had about 45 minutes to operate. Gud Fun 72
