WG8Y - Hi all, started 30 min. late & had to stop app 30 min.early. My wife has been ill & requires my help. Still got some time to play for app an hour. Also take another 15 min. out for a ragchew with a fellow working on his CW & didn't know about the Sprint. Tha't ok by me. I sent repeats for him no trouble. Glad to be able to. Hope to have more time for the QRPp next week. C u all then. 72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y
N4OW - 40 was very good with some very loud sigs ! Working KD7DM in Oregon was the highlight of the night. Happy holiday season to all! 72 de AL, N4ow 7700 .
N5AAS - Quiet tonight in Mississippi. Nothing heard on 40. Only a couple on 80.
KB1M - Signals seemed mostly weak, 40 seemed to improve the second hour. 72/73, Walt
WD4OHD - I was only able to work the first 30 minutes on 40m, and the only good signals I heard were from New England and Michigan. Maybe better conditions next month. Best holiday wishes to everyone in the NAQCC community.
K4KBL - The worst noise level in my history with NAQCC ! Managed 3 contacts in an hour and simply had to shut down for the evening. I'm anxious to hear if others had the same difficulty ?? Hope for far better conditions in January 2020...
NF8M - Got on for part of the second hour until local QRN got too bad (S6). Good sigs otherwise. TNX QSOs - will try the milliwatt next week! 72 .
KD3CA - Was a lot of fun as usual , 40 & 80 mtrs were equally as good for me .Even had a few mini- pile ups. Many thanks to all that called , very sorry to those I missed . Merry Christmas to all . 73 Don
W4XX - Good sprint! Thanks for the contacts. Kent KT-1, KX3 and a 80M doublet. 72 and Hppy Holidays from Wild & Wonderful West Virginia! W4XX (Whiskey Quatro Dos Equis!) OP: Jay W8ES .
W2JEK - Got on late and only on 80M. Band seemed good. Had fun. 72/73 DON W2JEK
AA0W - Only 15 Minutes to operate. Thanks for the QSO's.
AB9BZ - Tnx for contacts and sprint. Sigs were up and down here in Chicago. Happy Holidays es 72 de ab9bz .
K5TSK - Forty seemed pretty good and I fired up the KX3-PX3 and tried the paddle. Found my paddle fist lacking and my apologies to one station who called me but I had mauled my own call on xmit. Embarrassed so much, I just turned in for the night. 72 all. .
NF5U - Another fun night, bands were not in the greatest shape, but good enough to make a few qrp contacts. 73's and see you next week in the qrpp sprint Jerry NF5U .
N0TA - Pretty slow evening -- thanks for the Q's. K3, doublet, Amplidan key.
W8WEU - W8WEU I had a lot of fun making contacts for this sprint on 40. Looking forward to the QRPP Sprint. 72 Tom .
WI8J - My third sprint. Had a great time again. I apologize for QLF... again. Stayed on 80M the whole time. Learned a few more things, like turn off narrow cw filter when calling CQ to hear the non-zero-beat stations. Looking forward to the QRPp Sprint next week. Should be fun! 72 .
W6SMF - Only worked the last hour, 20M was not happening but got 1 each on 40M and 80M, bothered a bit by high QRN. Enjoyed it! .
N4MJ - Split the evening between NAQCC Sprint & Fox Hunt. Still a fun evening. .
W6JIM - Happy to work my old CW buddy Stan W6SMF again! Hey Stan, where you been hiding! .
VE3DQN - On for only a short time, vy high noise level. I'm aiming for a more serious try next week, my first foray in the mW Sprint. Will operate from my #2 location with better antennas.
WB9HFK - 40M only this month. I was also playing in the 40M QRP Foxhunt. I thought 40M was a bit better than it's been for a while at this QTH. See everyone next week for the mW Sprint! 72, Mark WB9HFK
WK4WC - The bands seemed to be better than in the November sprint but I had trouble being heard. My HB1B seemed to be doing the job. Maybe better in January. 72 All de WK4WC
K9EZ - I had to make sure my antennas were connected. Heard a lot of noise and could not get through to people. Also my straight key skills need brushing up. Thank you to those who could copy my poor sending. ughhh.. Still this is always fun! 72, Kent K9EZ
WT4U - Missed the first half of the Sprint for not looking at the clock. Oops. Had a fun hour on 80m which seemed just the right amount of busy.
WB2LQF - Forty was noisy and seemed short tonight. Worked a couple of new ones. Fun as usual. .
NN0SS - Good condX on 40 meters this evening in MN .
N2CN - Wow, wow, wow. 40m was great this evening. Rig here was KX2 with Begali Signature paddles. .
KE5YUM - 80 meters was clear on the shores of Lake Texoma. I worked three rather quickly, and they all had good clear signals. I could only stay for 30 minutes. I am enjoying 80 meters this fall/winter. All the best, Terry
KD0V - Used my new Begali Blade during the sprint. It is broken in now. .
VA3KOT - This sprint was a tough one for me. Several stations I called couldn't hear me. My 132ft antenna is low (12ft) for a reason. It is a NVIS half-wave on 80m but a full-wave on 40m & being low gives propagation off the ends for mid-range QSOs. It is also 2 wavelengths on 20m and has bagged me some FB DX contacts. Keeping the faith but the QRO devil is on my shoulder, whispering ...
W4NLT - Got on late, chased some foxes then realized there was a sprint on. Getting very old anyway, thanks to all. 73 and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
W5UAA - No sigs anywhere on 20. 40 was weak. Didn't even try 80. Got a couple. C U next month! 72, Guy, W5UAA
K0NIA - Was able to play for about an hour or so. Lots of fun!
AA5LH - It was a good night, as usual. Wishing all Happy Holidays. .
K3RLL - 1945 Vibroplex Lightning Bug. Tough night on 40m with high noise level here but some good ops out there with great patience and good ears. Thank you. 72 ... Don .
KY0Q - Thanks for the Qs! Not too many contacts this time but certainly had fun.
AD0YM - Surprised to have 20 meters open so late. Otherwise my contacts were on noisy 40 meters. TNX all. Tried 80 meters, but no response. Merry Christmas and to all a great and happy new year! 72
W8EWH - Good conditions tonight from my QTH. S&P for first hour, then Ran for most of the second. Spent most of my time on 80M which was in pretty good shape. Great fun. Thanks for the contacts. .
K9DRP - 40 was much improved from last month! I only worked S&P as our fox hunt ran concurrent. Caught KD3CA and NI9M on both 40 and 80. Hope to catch you all in MW sprint next week.
K8NGW - 40M was in great shape here (finally)! Used my trusty left-handed Vibroplex gold bug for all 12 sprints this year. 73 to all and to all a good night. Fred
K4JPN - Got started at 0135 and did not hear anyone on 20M, 40M or 80M, then at 0144 80M came alive. I worked a couple on 40M, but 80M was great. 72, Steve K4JPN
WB1GYZ - A mea culpa to WI8J for interpreting your five digit exchange as being one from SKCC...and that's the reason I appended a "T" to my number. My, how NAQCC has grown!
N5GW - KX3 to hb tuner & doublet. I assumed 20M to be dead, so started out on 40M. My hb straight key was at another QTH, so I had to turn my iambic Kent key on its side as a makeshift SK. Since I was tired out, I used S&P (search and pounce) instead of CQing. Both 40M and 80M were in fairly good shape. I was happy to work two newer members, N9OL & WI8J, recognizable by their five-digit numbers. This also served as a watermark of how the NAQCC membership has grown over the past few years. I will listen for all of you next week during the milliwatt sprint.
WB4OMM - Not many signals tonight....but those I found were really loud and clear. Some QSB tonight. Glad to work what I did! Happy and safe Holidays to all, hope to see some of you in the mW Sprint next week. If not, HYN! 72, Steve WB4OMM .
K4BAI - At start, W1AW was loud on 20M, but no sprint activity heard and no answers to CQs. 40M was really poor early on. I couldn't get a run going and got some very weak signal reports. 80M was quite good when I went there about 0215Z. Was able to sustain a run and worked stations quickly. Went back to 40M about 0257Z because I hadn't worked the two 40M QRP Foxes. Found 40 much improved and worked the two foxes and others with a good rate. 80M was good at the end again. Thanks for all QSOs. Seasons Greetings. 73/72, John, K4BAI.
AK3X - Multitasking between the sprint and the QRP Foxhunt on 40 meters so missed the entire first hour of the sprint and a lot of the second hour. Did not get on 80 meters until the last few minutes. It was certainly better than 40 meters. Fun sprint and at least I got one of the two foxes in the hunt.
N8XMS - I was just way too tired to stay for long. Merry Christmas everyone!
VE9BEL - SO SO CONDX ON 40M TONIGHT AT MY QTH, BUT HAD FUN ANYWAY.
N4API - Took a while to locate the party. First signal was booming, and second signal was local. Had to dig out the headphones for the rest of the contacts. Worked 40 and 80 tonite, only losing one person. .
KA2KGP - 20m was dead, 40 was weak & 80m were good here in WNY. Rig: ICOM IC-7000 at 5w. into G5RV up 25 ft. 73 & Merry Christmas to all
K5GQ - Normally do not - have this many dupes - have logging program not log the correct frequency .
AC1BS - BAD QSB kept me from logging several more stations.
WA2JSG - A dozen for me this evening. Two on 20m, seven on 40m, & three on 80m. Used my IC-7200 at 5w to a vertical. Bencher Str Key. Conditions seemed pretty good here. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah, and see y'all next year! 73 de Curt WA2JSG NJ .
K0EW - Good sprint tonight. 40 and 80 were pretty active, nothing heard on 20M. .
W2SH - Whoop-dee-do, 20m yielded me four Midwestern QSOs! 40m and 80m condx were good, but the latter band deserved more activity. Tentec 539 (Argo 6) manipulated by a Junker straight key.
N4WD - Snow (YES IN NW GA.) and high noise level made for bad copying. Who know snow could be so noisy.
KC5F - Came across "CQ NA" and then looked at Contest Calendar to see what it was. Next time I'll be ready!
W1PQO - Tough night between the noise and my keyer on the fritz. Only 5 QSO's but had fun anyway. Merry Christmas and we'll see you in January unless I try the milliwatt sprint next week which I have not done before .
AA9L - Signals on 40 were weak here but made a few contacts. 73 Rich AA9L .
N0AR - Good to hear many familiar calls. Lots of cold wx makes for a fun night on the radio! 72 and Happy Holidays to all. Scott N0AR .
N8HWV - 40 and 80 in better condition this time.
K1IEE - Could only stay for the first hour. Band had heavy QRN and most signals very weak however everyone made it work well. All good QRP OPS for sure. 73 to all on this special Holiday season Dick .
WA3FIR - Poor conditions tonight.QRN, deep QSB, and very few signals it seemed
WB8LZG - Hello fellow sprinters! I fired up the K2 tonight on battery power in anticipation fer next weeks mw sprint. cranked er up to 5 w es had a great time. The bands were in better shape than last month. I worke 3 new members wid #s over 10000. Welcome aboard gents! Good to work new guys es old friends too. 40m was hoppin with signals right from the start,80 was a bit noisy here but got a few on that band too. lot's of fun with the gang. Hope to hear u all next week in the mw sprint. 73 Gregg WB8LZG
KN1H - Thanks to the club for a fun sprint. Conditions were good and turn-out was great! IC7300 and Nye-Viking Master Key. 73 John, KN1H
AK4LP - Had a great time. It was challenging with the high noise level on 40M, but that was part of the fun! .
