Here my propagation seemed to be strictly N-S with E-W being just about completely absent except for one NJ QSO. We'll have to see how it all plays out when all the logs come in. I enjoyed the sprint despite it being somewhat slow. It was nice to work several stations I don't think have been in our sprints before. I expect to see N4BP and W5TVW at the top of the results. They were really attracting stations with their big signals. At least I have a shot at keeping my string alive of never having been beaten by someone with an indoor antenna. Well, logs are coming in now as I write this, so I better get them posted, then get off to bed. Thanks to all for participating. CU all again next month, I hope. W5TB - 40 open to east coast but heard nothing from north or west. Nil on 80. Thanks for a fun time with Nye Viking Master key. GL to all! NT9K - Bands were noisy but I still had fun. Used a Navy Flameproof CMI-26003A and stayed on 40 meters. Got to log a few new members, mostly in the first hour. 73, Bill KC2EGL - Started out on 20 with nothing heard. Moved to 40 with nothing heard as well. Heard many signals on 80M. The QRM here was +10. Still had a great time with making my 4 QSO's. Thanks to those who worked me and to those who tried to work me. 73 Michael WA8REI - Church music rehearsal prevented working the entire Sprint, but it was fun nonetheless. No QSO with WA7OET in Washington. He was solid copy at my end, but he couldn't get my number! Tnx the gallant effort, but I couldn't log you. Great to work John, K3WWP, at the tail end of the Sprint, then have a short ragchew thereafter. Now I must go soak my wrist in warm Epsom salts. Hi Hi. Wx: t-storms all around me, and S9+ QRN, so I employed the filters and cranked down the RF gain for rx. Straight key used was a 1952 vintage brass railroad telegraph key, similar in design to a J38. 73, 72, Ken KG4HTT - Enjoyed the contest, used a loop made from 5/8 inch O.D. refrigerator tubing. W9ILF - I had a good time with the sprint. 80M was very noisy but I did manage 1 QSO. The rest was on 40M which seemed in pretty good shape. I recently received a Vibroplex original deluxe bug from a very good friend. It looks and feels fantastic. I couldn't resist using it for the sprint and enjoyed the evening! VA3RKM - Glad to work some new (for me) ops and fairly distant states (LA, NC, FL) on 40m. A little noisy on 80m and not many stations on 20m. K2NPN - I enjoyed the NAQCC Sprint, It's always fun and I look forward to the next event. 73 - Phil KD2MX - I was only able to jump in for a bit at the end. Conditions didn't seem too good as I didn't hear K3WWP and N4BP was very weak. Looking forward to April. (Gee, I'm honored to be a conditions benchmark along with N4BP - K3WWP) W5TVW - 40 fairly active until about 0130 or so. QSY to 80 and worked a few more. Both bands got noisy with QRN here. Fair turnout. Enjoyed the sprint. KA2KGP - You can tell it's springtime by the high QRN levels on 80m. Conditions not that good on 40m. either, 20 was poor. Rig: TenTec Argosy II at 5 w. into 5-band vert. w/straight key. 73 to all. W9CC - While searching for signals I heard a station say he had increased his power to 500 watts so his friend a couple of states away could hear him! (Gosh, do you think he can do it with ONLY 500 watts? I'd guess it would take more like 1,000 watts to go that far. - K3WWP) KN4LF - I did not tell the XYL that I was going to participate in a contest on Wednesday evening and she did not tell me that she had invited friends over for dinner. So my participation in the contest was brief. I did have fun anyway and am looking forward to the next one in April. W2LJ - My time was limited as my daughter came down the shack to tell me she wasn't feeling well. Immediately QRT'ed for the night! See you all next month. 73 KA8MPT - Started out on 20 meters nothing heard, some luck on 80 meters but had a S-9 noise level. 40 m was the best at my qth .I had a lot of stations down in the noise, sorry I could not finish the qso's. K4NVJ - I met some new guys this time. Good! But I didn't hear John. Bad! See General Sprint Rules for rules common to every NAQCC sprint.
