Soapbox:
KB1PBA - Some ARRL CW SS which is like shooting fish in a barrel doing S&P with my PFR-3A

K3WWP - It looked pretty easy, so I decided not to use any contest QSO's. I guess that's getting ready for next year when we start disallowing contest/sprint QSO's in our challenges. All but 5 letters came from stations who answered my CQ. The exceptions being special event call W0O and DX station YV7/UY5ZZ whom I called. The majority of the letters came from QSO's made with 930 mW. Only N5RR YV7/UY5ZZ N9UUI W1WW and N1TGI were worked with 5 watts. I love these alphabet challenges and the many ways it is possible to master them from very easy to a real challenge. I like what RW3AI did in only using the last letter in a call and only 80M to boot.

VE3FUJ - I HAD FUN DOING THIS. I COULD PROBABLY HAVE USED LESS CALL SIGNS TO MAKE UP THE WORDS. NO MATTER. MADE SOME MISTAKES THAT PROBABLY GOT JOHN CHUCKLING. WAS USING THE WORD FROM THE TUTORIAL, AND AS A RESULT TOO MANY WORDS AND LETTERS. IT TOOK ME NEAR A WEEK TO GET THE "O" IN MAYFLOWER, WHICH I DIDN'T NEED AFTER ALL, HAD I USED THE RIGHT WORD LIST. I HOPE EVERYTHING IS OK THIS TIME. BRION.

KD6SX - I haven't participated in a challenge since March so this was a lot of fun. I was glad to read that contest/sprint QSOs will be disallowed for challenges next year. That'll make it more interesting. George

K1IEE - I usually have a hard time with this type of challenge. The tutorial was very helpful. Made all the words with regular QSO's. As always I enjoyed the challenge. 73 Dick

KQ1P - I tried to use just DX stations, but conditions have been very poor recently, so I used one U.S. call. As always, I enjoy the challenges. John M. Peckenham KQ1P North American QRP CW Club NAQCC 3113

W2JEK - used calls from the ARRL CW Sweepstakes. rig was my yaesu ft-840 at 5 watts with wire antennas and straight key. 72 and 73 Don Younger W2JEK #1135

W8TAF - On Friday morning I was going out the front door of the house and I did not notice it was frost on the ramp, took two steps and went horizontal for at least two seconds. So now I can’t sit and can’t use my arm, but it is getting better. John I think I should get the stupidity award. hi hi hi hi I do not get into many of the sprints and things but I sure had fun on this one, I hope i filled out the log ok TNX keep up the good work guy's CUL 73 Tom

N8XMS - Only 22 QSOs in total this month left me on the short side once again.

KH6OZ - I needed the two "I"s for thanksgiving and the "E" and "Y" for turkey and mayflower. Stations worked were: kf7atk nd0cw ab7kt n7rp kg6kdj n6voh k6kqv w3hkk w7srm n6muk w9sio kd2jc Thank you for working my QRP 5W signal. 73's George

WB0QQT - So close and yet so far ! Needed an F, P, R, T to make the rest but it just didn't happen.

PREMISE:
This is the SEVENTH running of our traditional November Thanksgiving alphabet challenge. This was our second ever challenge back in 2004 although it was called an event back then, not a challenge. We felt that challenge was a more appropriate name for these monthly events and switched names early in 2005.

If you're looking for an easy way to keep track of an alphabet challenge, here is a tutorial that will make it very simple for you.

TIME FRAME:
The first day of the month 0000Z through the last day of the month 2400Z

RULES:
You must use QRP and the other station can be using any power. You must use a simple wire antenna.

Make as many words as you can from this list of Thanksgiving related words using letters from calls you work.

THANKSGIVING
TURKEY
PILGRIMS
MAYFLOWER
CORN

For reference, the following 20 letters are contained somewhere in the words:
A C E F G H I K L M N O P R S T U V W Y

Each DIFFERENT letter in a call can be used TWICE. For example, the following calls yield the letters shown:

N3AQC - 2 N's, 2 A's, 2 Q's, 2 C's.
WY3H - 2 W's, 2 Y's, 2 H's.
VP5/WA3BCD - 2 V's, 2 P's, 2 W's, 2 A's, 2 B's, 2 C's, 2 D's.

K3WWP - 2 K's, 2 W's, 2 P's. The extra W can't be used.
VE3EBE - 2 V's, 2 E's, 2 B's. The extra 2 E's can't be used.
KK7KK - 2 K's. The extra 3 K's can't be used.

Subsequent QSO's with the same station cannot be used for additional letters. For example, no matter how many times you work K3WWP, you can only get 2 K's, 2 W's, and 2 P's from him.

AWARDS:
A certificate goes to everyone who makes ALL the words.

PARTICIPATION AWARD AND WEB LISTING:
To get a Participation Point and to be listed in the results you must make at least one word and report your results.

LOGS:
For your report, list the words you made and the station used for each letter in the word. The number of stations listed must be the same as the number of letters in each word, even though you use the same station for more than one letter as in:
