SOAPBOX:
AB9BZ - Glad to get on with the QMX+, thanks for the QSO's 72 AB9BZ
K3RLL - That hated bi-annual time change came to our rescue this evening. How nice it was to hear 20m alive, strong and pretty steady -- despite poor propagation reports on QRZ.
Thanks for the nice contacts. 72, ... Don
K4KBL - All 20 meters tonight. 40 meters was a nightmare here in GA with heavy static crashes.
Had fun and worked into NE and OR which is always
a plus !!
N9EEE - I couldn't work 40m - static crashes from the severe t-storms that passed by and QSB were too much. I had to quit after working a bunch on 20m. Only 30 minutes this evening But any time on the radio is a good time. --73--
N1BRI - I was using my homebrewed VXO transmitter tonight and Fred DK1VD found me. I'd like to confirm that he was really in Germany. If so, this will make my month! I missed a few because of my t/r switching, so apologies on that. Thanks for another fun one! 72 all.
WD4CFN - Thanks for putting up with my bug fist! Band conditions were rough tonight with lots of QRN. Thanks to everyone!
NF8M - Op time 1/2 hr. Noisy nite on 40 but good activity. TNX es 72
DK1VD - Was fun again and the best spring starts today :-))
only the 3 loudest stations could work thanks
N1BRI - W2LJ - KN1H for the patience
KF7Z - Very few signals heard in WY tonight, got a late start and quit at 1:50z Elecraft K3s dialed down to 5w to a 20 meter dipole up 25', hopefully the prop princess will be a little kinder soon.
73 Danny
KE9DR - Been 5 months since last sprint. Lots QRN and very little QRM. 80 was dead for me. Only got two contacts, but still enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone. Bert-KE9DR
AA9L - A lot of T-storms nearby.
K4KRW - It wasn't a very good night here. I tried holding a frequency several times but wasn't getting many calls so I switch to search and pounce and managed 14. Thanks everyone. Thanks to KF7Z for pulling me out of the noise in WY. Richard
K9QEW - Mostly operated 20m which seemed to be in fair shape.
After 1st hour QSY to 40m which had a S5-6 noise level.
Otherwise a good night. 72 Daryl
WG8Y - HI all, Short nite for me. Made 2 on 20m & 2 on 40m then pulled the plug. Long day.
72 from N.C. Mark WG8Y
KC5F - Nice to be back on after two months away, one with family and the other in Mexico without reciprocal licensing... Tonight looked bad at first with a geomagnetic storm, but it worked out fine. Nice run on 20m, lots on 40m and then a few on a noisy 80m, as well. Lots of fun, as always!
AA2VG - I ran my Appalachian Trail Sprint 3B (ATS3B). I was glad to see the bands open. The ATS3B is one amazing CW radio. It is built into an Altoid Tin and covers 6 bands, from 80 to 15 meters. It's my favorite rig. Steve Weber KD1JV designs the best CW rigs. Had Fun. 72 Peter AA2VG
KN2G - Had a great time S&P tonight. 20 was marvelous for me with 7 contacts. Then onto 40 which did a yeoman's duty for me and a few on 80 to wrap it up. However, 80 was really scratchy... Good ops and good times as always. Thanks to WB9HFK, Mark for switching from piggy to NAQCC for me.
KI4MZC - Well, that was more fun than the FCC should allow! I only got on about the last 45 minutes or so. It was nice to hear VE3IIM up there in ON as well as K4BAI, John, whom I haven't heard in a while (my fault - I need to be more radio active. 80 meters was really not good tonight; 40 was better but seemed to be very noisy down here. Thanks to all for putting up with my poor straight-key fist tonight.
K3IY - Got the kids to bed and had 30 minutes to get ready in the shack. Having a new FTDX-10 I tried to get it to connect to Sprint Autologger without success. I trudged on with the tactic of running the whole time, and hopefully sitting on a freq. or two. We're so spoiled when we fret about manual VFO on the logger. This was the first sprint of the year where starting out on 20m yielded results. I made 8 qso's on 20m. I called CQ for about 12 minutes straight without an answer and switched to 40m. I had the most qso's on 40m, totaling 16. 40m eventually dried out for me after going two rounds of cq's with 10 minutes between each. Switched to 80m and it was noisy but productive. Had one call not come through and we tried hard. Finished with 6 qso's on 80m. Another great sprint!
WB1GYZ - Congrats to my friend Brian W1BRI, QTH a few of miles north of me, just worked DK1VD on 3 watts. He probably won't be able to sleep tonight.
K3JZD - One QSO on 80m - the rest were on 40m. 40m was 2 hours of chopping QRN here. Probably due to the cold front and rain coming in. Then add the usual QSB. Sorry to have to ask for so many repeats, but the crashes were coming so fast that they very frequently took out a part of a lot of call signs, and the was ALC kickeding in. Probably a few of you I didn't hear at all - sorry. But it was still a fun evening !! K4 running 5 watts, 72, Jody - K3JZD
WX4RM - Very high noise levels on 20 meters tonight, but the signals were able to cut through it. Had fun as always.
W4NLT - That was fun to work the QRP faithful. Worked all three bands but 40M had the most action and some QRN. DX was to UT with N7KM and several two banders-K4BAI, K3IY, AK3X and KN1H. Thanks for all the QSOs. 72 Andy
KN1H - Operating from home at last after 3 1/2 months and 12000 miles on the road with the camper. All the wires survived the NH winter (so far), just plugged in the radio and everything worked! Great to work Fred, DK1VD on 40 with a really nice signal. And a rare (for me) three-fer with Steve KC5F on all three bands. 72, John, KN1H
K2OID - Good condx this month. Tried 20 for the first time. From NY it looked a lot like 40 except for working N7KM (UT). 40 was really great. Special TNX to KC7DM (OR) who stuck with me to complete our QSO. That's quite good DX for QRP 40M in the early evening!
KC3RN - Lots of static crashes on 40 tonight, but still got a lot of 599 signals from the northeast. The Argo VI performed beautifully tonight. Switched over to the FTDX10 (at 5 watts) for the last few QSO's.
K1WOR - glad I had time for it this month -- strong signals in MA from the northeast, but just marginal for GA and WI. It's amazing how cw signals can be pulled out of the noise.
KI8FV - Very rough night here, hard to hear a lot of qsb. But I got four. Still lots of fun see you next time.
N7KM - I only operated the first 30 minutes of the sprint, but it was an enjoyable half hour. I pulled out my FT817ND and it performed beautifully. I heard a lot of nice fists and found my old j37 hand key needs more use to get back to being crisp and clean on my end. Thanks for copying a rusty old guy, I've sent so many eight did groups before. Thanks to those who put the sprint together and I'll try to be onboard next month. 72, Ken N7KM
WI8J - Short night due to storms. Thanks for the contacts!
KE5YUM - I could only stay a few minutes but I managed to work two. Good conditions on 20 in Arkansas. Looking forward to next month. Terry. FT 710 at 5 watts. CWMORSE camelback key.
K1IX - Good condx and activity, thanks for the Q's 72, Frank
KC2MJT - Rough cdx here in MO. 20 was hopping but couldn't break thru the QRM. 40 was weird and PDQ the freezing cold wind drive me back into the house
VE3IIM - ..Noisy on the bands here..spring storms..Had fun, as usual..
K4BAI - Was 2 mins late getting to the sprint. 20M was really good with QSOs possible as close in as VA and IL. 40 and 80M had a lot of QRN from a weather front that came through during the early hours Thursday. But signals were good on 40M and best DX again this month was KC7DM in OR. 80M had a few weak signals from the NE US, but the only QSO I could complete was with K3IY in MD. Thanks for all QSOS. Another fun sprint. Look for the GA QSO Party the second full weekend in April. 73/72, John, K4BAI.
KA2KGP - I had some antenna trouble tonite with my G5RV, so only a few Q's were made. Need to work on antenna soon. 73
WB0CJB - Good session tonight. Thanks to W4NLT and AA2YO for both FP and NAQCC QSOs. AA2VG was just barely out of my noise level and wasn't able to pull him out at the end of the sprint. Thanks all for a great session. 73/72 de Paul WB0CJB
KK4ITX - New QMX+ @2.7w. 20m had QSB and 40m its usual QRM here in the park. Did get to learn the new rig some.
K9EYT - 20 was good 40 was not much fun here in the Tampa bay area Icom 706MK2 at 5 watts to a 60ft EFW wire stealth for HOA always a challenge 72 Ray
W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! The time change seemed to help our propagation. 20m was open nicely at the start of the sprint. Flying Pigs also playing tonight wid us. Band was very busy, so i kept going to 40m but high noise was big problem there, so kept hopping back to 20. I was doing manual labor all day putting up shutters and ran out of Umph. Pulled plug at 915pm. See you all next month. 73 Gregg W8GG
W2LJ - First NAQCC Sprint in a few years. It was a good time and a lot of fun. Signals on 20 Meters were in the mud, 40 meters was THE band for me. Thanks to all who worked me and hope to be back next month. 72 de Larry W2LJ
KC3MIO - I think I ran out of stations to contact and called it a night at 0150. Icom 7300 into a 288' loop. 73/72 Rich. Happy spring!
AK3X - Another fun sprint with the usual late start and myriad interruptions, but CATS RULE. 72 to all.
N5GW - KX3 and hb sk. QRN was remarkable due to a passing weather front, making copy difficult, even with a good audio filter. However it was nice to hear some activity on 20 related to increasing length of daylight.
KQ1P - Short on time, but good conditions on 20m.
